Hello all
A fortnight away and a newbie to the CR scene and I have a few questions that I have for the forum:

> Negotiation - is the typical negotiation for an hour (at the bar scene, not MP)?
> Do chicas typically say no to terms if you state "withhold payment until after sexo"? seems like this is a behaviour that is recommended by the CRTers
> Weather - Rainy season ? How would prepare for a mid June trip clothes wise
> any golf to be played during "refactory periods"?

Looking forward to getting content for a trip report, be in SJO June10 -13

1. Typically, the length of time is for one hour, however you may negotiate for whatever length of time you like.

2. Many chicas want the money up front. It's amazing how quickly their attitudes will change after they have the money. The best thing to do is to negotiate the entire process up front before leaving for the room including price, length of time, payment after, what she will do for you, etc.,etc. They will often come down in price from cien.

3. The temperature will be around 75 to 80 degrees with a rain shower in the afternoon that lasts an hour or so. Bring an umbrella. The chicas will respect you more if you wear nice slacks, shirt and shoes.

4. I don't golf, so I can't be much help in this area. There are golf courses in the surrounding area.

I have heard that most guys would do well NOT to dress up better than blue jeans and t-shirts so as to be more safe when out and about. Is the above your opinion?

I have only run into a couple of clock watchers with a 1 hour limit.
By doing the qualifying I eliminate the 'hard core' providers,
and tend to get as much time as I want.

Money up front? NEVER.
Cover that in the negotiations.
If she changes the rules in the room GET RID OF HER!
It will only go downhill from there.

Bring a umbrella, if you are concerned about the rain.

Jeans and T-shirt? OK, not necessary.
Dressing down is not needed, IMO.
I wear slacks and a nice pullover.
Like anywhere else, the women judge you by your clothes.
Don't get too concerned about crime.
It exists. but just a little common sense is all that is needed.

Humble-Jay,

You know what they say about first impressions.

Rockbrowns,

My experience is as follows:

Although many of the girls will quote you a price for only an hour, they will actually stay with you until you finish. If they like your company, they may actually hang out for a while and sometimes let you go back for round two. I personally have never been with a clock watcher who splits as soon as her hour is up.

As for paying in advance, negotiate up front that you will only pay afterwards (No voy a pagarte antes, te pagaré despues). Let her know that she may get a propina (tip) if she performs well, but definitely not if she demands money up front.

It rains every day during the green season for a couple of hours in the afternoon. If you don't have room for a umbrella don't worry about it. They are sold on virtually every street corner in San Jose for less than $5.00 when it rains. Give it to one of the chicas when you return home.

As for clothes, you might want to bring a jacket because it often gets quite cold in evening. Sometimes the chicas arrive to work in winter parkas! I wouldn't worry about bringing nice slacks or silk shirts or anything like that. Jeans and a T-shirt are fine during the day, and jeans and a decent collared shirt are appropriate in the evening. If you dress too nicely the girls will think you have money and will be less likely to drop their price for you. They get turned off by the typical "pinche gringo" who has money but is cheap. Look decent but no need to over-do it or you will needlessly make yourself a target to both the girls in the bar and the beggers/hustlers on the street.

That was my other reason for not dressing up. I may pack a couple of, what I call, polos but for the most part I am on the cheap here and don't want any girl to think she can demand anything of me becuase I "look too good". Besides, I'll be spending most of my time in the MPs where the price is all taken care of before hand.
