Planning a trip for late April/early May and I had a few questions about holidays . There are a fair number around that time.

I'm definitely going after Easter, I've heard enough about that to avoid it.

Is Labour day (May 1) best avoided? I was wondering in terms of any of the following:
1) Women available at the hotels (SL and others) and pensions. I assume that at least girls with family/K*ds will be unavailable for the weekend?
2) Are many places ( hotels, restaurants, stores) closed down?
3) Is the celebration usually for the whole weekend?
4) Is it hard to get services - Ex. Transportation - for that day or the weekend.

A quick web search says that the presidential inauguration is likely a week later on May 8th. Does anyone know of it's an actual holiday that would have an effect on any of the above?

Any events will likely be during the daytime and not impact the hobby. There may be some traffic snarls in Sabana for Labor Day parades. The inauguration is also usually held in the National Stadium, but the last one was held in Democracy Plaza next to the National Museum (downtown). Use the Waze app to show street closures and traffic jams.

Word on the street is that the del Rey is also re-opening that day.

Which street is that? The yellow brick road?

As a statistician, you might include Netgems and what's your point?
