I've browsed the boards here enough to see the recurring "cien" debate, which is entirely over the top compared to the prices ticos pay. I could also be the fact that a lot of Ticos are uncut and do not take care of their privates. I have been told by numerous sources that they smell and have "cheese" that needs to be cleaned. If that ain't enough reason to say no Ticos I don't know what is. |

Whether you realize it or not, the women walking into an establishment or marketing themselves on the Internet are "top notch," and will not stoop as low to mess with a tico. Women are only in it for the money and may not receive as much from a tico. |

They may tell you they don't like ticos...I've been told that. But at the same time the woman that wanted me to marry her was secretly still with her tico "ex"... and I suspect both of them were laughing at what a sucker I was. And the whole country applauds that sort of thing. |

I once had a girl in Costa Rica quote me $150. I offered her $80. She said that her price is $150 because she speaks perfect English (she lived in the states a few years). And she knew that I speak fluent Spanish because we started the conversation in Spanish and then she switched to English to show me that she spoke well. At that point, I turned and walked away. You can't argue with that logic.
