Post subject:  Newbie in CR, asking for advice.

So as the title says it is my first time in CR. I have just been traveling around non-mongering spots enjoying the country. But, I did hop on Tinder and start swiping just to see what was out there. Talked to a good bit of working girls, independent, in Jaco and San Jose and collected numbers just to see prices, services offered, and to have options.

I even found two young ladies in Quepos, as I am currently in Manuel Antonio, but I can’t have ******* in my room or I will be kicked out by the hotel.

I did match with one woman my age, early 30’s, who claims to not be a working girl, but wants to meet and hang out and Phuck and maybe go with me on the rest of my trip. Now the company on the rest of my trip I am not thrilled about since I don’t know her well, but the rest sounds great. Is this a scam? Will she ask me for payment later? Has anyone heard of this before?

Unless you look like Brad Pitt, and even then, you will pay one way or another.

as stated above you are going to pay....you may just be paying all her expenses for the trip if you are lucky.

What is your gut feeling...Gut feelings never seem to be wrong. Think with the head above your shoulders, not the one below.

I think you already know the answer and just hoping someone here will say go for it....you are likely not going to get that though.

Dating girls off social media is full of risks and problems. It can be rewarding but it is best done by someone with real experience in dealing with Ticas. If I was not in a Tica friendly hotel where I could control the situation I would stay clear of the situation. Going somewhere with someone you don't know puts you at risk to be set up to be robbed or extorted. Not being able to get any feedback on her from others is a high risk factor.

Suppose you could just come out and ask her
Just say other girls talked about money
Last thing you want is a screaming woman saying you agreed to $1k a day
Just read somewhere here that a guy walked across the street with a girl and bought her dinner and she expected several hundred for her time
Remember it's legal for a girl to sell her pu*sy there and she can go to the police for help in a dispute

Okay, good to know, I thought this was pretty much illegal everywhere outside of specialised establishments in some countries. So, I shouldn't forget that they can involve the police if they feel like it...

Of course she will want payment... why else would she be doing it. One way or the other you will pay. If she is looking for a relationship with a gringo the payment process will be long and painful. If she's just a short term friend it might be a shorter and less painful process...but you will pay the going rate.

I am the poor guy. I met with her for a couple days in the city she lived, and had a good time hanging with her only paying for food, drinks, and a fee to get in 1 club IIRC, so I invited her to accompany me on the rest of my trip. I did pay for food, transportation, and added her to my hotel. She isn't an escort and she didn't ask for money for her time or sex. I didn't take her shopping or pay her rent and I haven't sent her any money nor has she asked for any, she has an actual job.

In all, I added an extra $30 to my hotel for her stay ($10/night), we took interbus to and from her city to the next city ($125 extra) and I paid $40 for a public bus back to her city from San Jose plus gave a little extra. The food I am completely not sure, but I will round up to about $160 for her part (she drinks, I don't, so my part was less). That was the price for 6 days and 5 nights of company, laughs, great sex, and a translator because I don't speak Spanish. We are the same age and even listened to a lot of the same music.

Much preferred that over the Hotel Cocal women I spent money on. I spent $600 total in one night on 4 girls in groups of 2 (2 were Dominican sisters). The first two (a cute tica and an unattractive dominican) quoted me $100 each for an hour in the bar, so I took them up. Then the price changed to $150 each in the room for a threesome with a lesbian show. They never touched each other and the dominican walked into the bathroom with a beer for at least 10 minutes. They were dressing to leave after 40 minutes and asked me why I didn't want to pay for an additional hour, I basically told them because they lied to me about what the experience would be. The sisters quoted me $100 each for an hour and stuck to it and they had fun personalities, no baby damage, spoke good English, could take a pounding, and I love dominicans, but they were asking me to pay for another hour after 40 minutes also. I did give them $50 each for a second "hour" of which they left after 20 minutes. So I got an hour in total out of them. Never again will I pay before.

first of all thanks for reporting back since so few new guys tend to follow up on posts like yours
remember we have a tendency to go worst case since most of us have witnessed it first hand
sounds like you had a great time w her and maybe even intend on seeing her again in the future?

Glad it worked out. I would be interested to hear back in three months that nothing has changed....the cynic in me thinks this is too good to be true; but happy for you if it is true.

As for the other experience: 1) never pay upfront, 2) when they get back to the room and start talking about additional charges, just end it there and say thank you but no thanks. They will say ok don't worry about it and up to you if you want to go through with it or not...I tend to say no as it just dampers my mood too much.

Realdude,

Yeah, thanks for reporting back. I'm glad everything worked out for you. Sounds like you had a good time. Maybe you'll be back. CR has a lot to offer. Welcome to CRT!

Okay, so you pay afterwards? Great to know, because in some countries, you pay before you get anything... Unless I've been ripped off

The sisters insisted I pay before and I accepted it. I actually spotted those two walking in through the parking lot when I was sitting outside my room in Cocal. I came down for those two, so I accepted the terms when I should have just walked away.

I have been to Tijuana with the bar girls and never have been asked to pay up front.
