I've never been inside a strip club in Costa Rica. So I thought I'd give Centerfolds, the strip club in Jaco, a try. It was a waste of time and money. Skip this one.

First off, the place was dead. On a Friday night at 10pm, there were only about 5 dancers. There is only 1 stage and half the time it was empty. It looked like the girls would do one dance in their underwear and one dance that they got naked by the end.

There is a $10.00 or two drink minimum. And the pressure tactics to buy a drink are stiffer than usual for a strip club. If a girl sits by you, they pressure you to buy her a drink at $8.50.

Private dances are $25.00 upstairs. This covers a lap dance for 2 songs. The girl will get totally naked. And her can touch her a little more than the states. But every time I tried to finger her, she quickly pulled my hand away.

Considering it is so close to the Cocal, it is amazing that no sex is happening in Centerfolds. Just a crappy strip club. Put it this way. Strip clubs in the states are Way better. Especially in Miami.

Save your money. Skip this one and go straight to the Cocal.

I have traveled to CR dozens of times and lived there 2 years in Escazu, I have never been to a strip club in all those times and never needed to. With the HDR, Sportsman's, all the MP's, I have never gone without. I have heard a few hit or miss good things about a couple in San Jose, but I understand they are all in seedy neighborhoods and don't get going until late at night. My logic says why bother with that when you can pick up a hottie at the HDR as early as 6 am and all the places throughout the day and evening. Perhaps one day I'll go to one for a novelty, but they will never be on my regular need to go list...

I went there on my last trip and can confirm almost everything the op says about the place. Didn't really get pressured to drink that much though as far as I remember.

My wing and I went to two strip clubs (the other in SJ which REALLY sucked).

Why go to strip clubs in CR ?
For me, there is always a day when my nutsack feels like it's running on empty and I need to refuel for the rest of the trip. It's usually on those days that I'd visit a strip club.....just for the fun factor and environment (there are no strip clubs where I'm from).

The funny part about all this is that my best lay in CR came the day after. Met this dark-skinned super hottie from Limon that night in Centerfolds and met up with her the following day. So guess it was worth going after all.

Checked this place out early evening , did not stay long but it was a nice place, I would return as their isn't much to do in the middle of Jaco at 8:00 pm

Did you do any reading at all before going to CR?

Strip clubs in Cr are different than the US. When a girl sits with you, you must buy her a drink or she'll leave. It's basically a table tance, you can touch at the table as she dances for you.

Private "dance" upstairs and no sex, you got scammed.
