Does anyone here get to know any taxi drivers in SJ? I have had good results doing this in the states, London, and in Africa. At the rates I am hearing for taxi rides in SJ, you would think the drivers would be good sources of info and girls. They could make good tips this way. If they were straight up with us. However, most of what I have read here, says they are mostly out to help scam us. Either with the girls or with the mps and clubs. I have a friend who has been there a couple of times in the last year or so. Not just for mongering. He told me he has a name and number of a driver ( Martin) who made sure he was well taken care of. I need to find out more about his success.

There is a Martin that works out of the Sportsmens Lodge, probably the same guy.

That's good in theory, but most will just steer you towards places that give them commissions. And you end up footing the bill. Most of them know chicas. This is where checking ID is important because they won't hesitate set set you up with a minor either thinking that you won't know, care, or possible to blackmail you. They may even offer you their wife/sister for some cash.

Sorry. Somehow I missed the other post on this subject. Also, the more I read here, the more I think this is not a necessary service in SJ. The other post covers all I need to know about this. I think!
