Can someone please tell me what is the MDE?
What about Manuel Antonio?
Ok, while I'm at it, is April a good time to go to CR? Any times to avoid?
As far as SJ, what are the top amps now?
For Jaco, is it best to just do the Cocal? (I know it's expensive but oh well)
I'm getting ready to plan a trip now, so trying to digest all this. It's been a few years since I've been. Any info would be great.

MDE is the IATA designation for Jose Maria Cordoba International Airport which services Medellin, Colombia... about an hour and half away from SJO by air.
The rainy period in San Jose is between the months of May through November. Temperatures remain warm to hot depending upon where you are at Costa Rica. The Christmas and Easter weeks are usually slow with respect to mongering. US holidays and pseudo-holidays (Super Bowl and Halloween) are usually jam packed with gringos, so finding accommodations and prime entertainment may be more of a challenge.
Manuel Antonio is a beautiful national park on the central Pacific Coast. If you haven't been there, it's worth a trip.
Not sure what you mean by "amps"... Asian Massage Parlors?

If that is the case, there are no amps, per se, in San Jose. However, there are plenty of massage parlors (MPs) all over the city. A few cater exclusively to gringo clientele, while the vast majority will take Colones from both gringos and ticos. Read current trip reports to find out the current hot spots.
Jaco appears to be the mongering mecca in Costa Rica right now. If that is your primary reason for going to CR, go to Jaco.
