This guy cheated me and my wingman sometime ago.... I too remember the tall slender tico with the grey van. Never again. Thanks for posting the info. It will help others on the forum.

if you did just a little research ,its basic info not to use 1. a taxi that is parked outside a hotel. 2 never take a parked taxi outside the delrey ...once in any taxi look for what the meter is at

He is a standard DelRey driver that uses the Delrey parking lot. He will over charge the hell out of you if you will put up with it and argue and beg for more and more. I told him where i wanted to go to the south. On the way we stooped without consulting me to talk and flirt with his girl friend, about halfway up the mountain the road was blocked due to a wrecked bus. Tico,Ticas and a slew of little K*ds were walking down the mountain. One young Tica carrying a very new baby and sacks and baby stuff struggling to just walk down hill. i told him to give these people a ride. He ignored me and sped by them. I told him i wanted to stop and eat some tamales and he took us to a fancy Tico place and went to consult with someone out of sight. I had 2 tamales and he had a small bowl of carnitas and expected me to pay for it as welL. The bill was $35.00! I have no idea how much his cut was. When we got back after 1.5 hrs and with me buying him his lunch he still wanted $75.00! He got $50.00 and that was $25.00 too much and he begged and whined for more. I was on the company TAB and baby sitting a bunch of rich drunks and tired of their shit as well as his and thought i will get even with this piece of shit down the road. SO HERE I AM GETTING EVEN!. i paid the $50. Had it been my money he wouldn't have got shit and i would have been inside talking to Gabriel.

Overall the Del Rey drivers are a pretty good lot.

I thought you were talking about a ride from HDR to some other hotel. Why use those van guys for anything else?

I have trouble getting in and out of those low taxis, More leg room, up higher and can see better and they are bigger than a regular car in a accident.
