Thinking of another trip in February to burn up some vaca before I lose it mid April. CR was a blast and I'll go back but may want to try something new a few months from now. We would like to stay oceanfront or real close and be around some nightlife action.

Any helpful advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Never been to Panama but it sounds like Dominican would fit the bill.

If by DR you're thinking Sosua... don't recall any oceanfront chica friendly places but chica friendly hotels are a short walk (15-20 min) away from a very nice beach with great bars and spots to eat while gawking.

Party until 1:00 am, salsa merengue, reggetion, it's all there. Chica activity is pretty centralized too.

I like Sosua over SJ... I guess because of connections and friendships made in the Dominican over several trips. And I love Presidente beer. Flight economics and logistics bumped me over to CR, which has been great in its own way.

Panama, as I read it, is way more expensive btw.

actually looking for somewhere in DR or Panama that would be similar to Cocal or Crocs in the Jaco area. We had fun in San Jose don't get me wrong but I think for our next trip we would like to stay near the ocean and chill by the pool/beach do some stuff around the town like some tours and still have the FUN nightlife right there at our fingertips. It would be nice to have a casino near by because that is always a way to pass the time have some fun and meet some "friends"

actually just stumbled across this place and sounds interesting and cheap plus close to beach and nightlife

You're in the right part of town. 3 blocks from puta central 6 from the beach and casino.

Hotel New Garden next door might be right up your alley with the pool/bar and some daytime talent allowed to loiter in the pool area.

Rocky's, Sosua Suites, Terra Linda, Sea Breeze etc. All those places on/near Calle Dr. Rosen and Pedro Clisante will work. Other than the resort/all inclusive places, hotels in that part of town are usually chica friendly.

Can't compare it to Jaco though since I've never been.
