It may be confiscated by TSA searchers on the way out. They removed a collapsible baton from me a couple of years ago.

As to what the SJO xray authorities will think ... I doubt they'd even notice it.

Interesting question.

A guy could improvise and just carry a sock full of centavos.

so mr. hotdogg, you thought it in your best legal interests to use true sportsman's tagline at the bottom of your posts almost verbatim?

Whose came first? It is very much like SL, which I've noticed only now that you bring it up. 80% of my time here is through taptalk, which does not display signatures.

I suppose subconsciously I could have been influenced. Are signatures subject to copyright here?

If Bill/SL has an issue with my tagline he's free to message me. If by some small chance I inspired them, I take no issue.

Under the advice legal counsel I have no further comment on the subject of: signatures, taglines, mottos, slogans, catchprases, etc.

Gentlemen,

To be clear it was member hotdogg signature that did indeed help and inspire me to change mine. If my fellow member hotdogg requests me to change it I will indeed do so.
Thanks

No need to change anything, but thank you for openly asking.

My intended observation was that this site, crt, in the past has been full of useful information regarding the scene in sjo. Trip reports, pictures, chica reviews etc. were all things we could look forward to reading about when we logged-on. Armed with this info, we'd plan & anticipate our own future trips. Now, in the post Cuba Dave arrest era, this site is virtually devoid of any such info & the situation so dire that business operators in sjo & posters on this site feel the need to have disclaimers on their posts filled with legalese. I'm saddened that the fallout from the arrest has had this result as I've enjoyed reading crt regularly for the last 11 years. I hope things will recover & return to normal in the future. Nonetheless, I will be in sjo next week to monger on with the same gusto I have had in the past. I also urge all others on the fence regarding a trip to sjo, come on down & enjoy the fruits that Costa Rica has to offer. It's business as usual with, as fdr said, "nothing to fear but fear itself." Hope to see ya'll there.

Your intended observation didn't quite come across when calling me out.

My CR experience pales in comparison to yours. That said, I've reported both of my trips here. I look forward to your next report.

Versatile - apologies for the threadjack. Welcome to CRT.

And as of early Oct, it is business as usual in SJ, so far as I can tell. My 2015 experience was not materially different from 2014.

Very well said and written!! +1

Nothing has changed here in the ground in San Jose, however things have changed regarding the posting of members. IMHO This is a necessary change for now, due to CR willingness to arrest and jail pending charges people who they feel openly violate the "Laura Chinchilla Sex Tourism Promotion law of 2012".

They do x-ray suitcases, some at least. About 6-7 years ago, I checked in and was waiting for my flight (in the food court probably) when I heard my name over the PA, so I reported to the gate. 2 armed security guards led me deep into the belly of the airport, the basement where they process all the bags. 2 elevator rides, and passing by all these conveyor belts. Cool stuff. They had my suitcase in the middle of this huge room all by itself with suitcases everywhere but nothing within 5 feet of mine.

They asked me to open it and there were about 5 guards surrounding me, standing like 10-15 feet away watching my every move. I probably would've gotten shot if I sneezed (or farted). I opened the suitcase and pulled out a metal poker chip case (which I brought in for a CRT poker tourney we held). I set it on the floor and it was silence, I heard the cockroaches. Very tense. Then they asked me to open it. I didn't look up but I'm pretty sure they had their hands on the guns. When I opened it and showed them it was poker chips, there was a noticeable sigh of relief and light laughter broke out.

I think they thought that it was a bomb.

Guy on my last trip said he brought in a double ended dong, no problem. I did not ask to see it and took his word for it.

Back to the blackjack... are we talking self-defense here or a bdsm plaything? Inquiring minds want to know.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that question , but if you are braced in costa rica, or anywhere else, just give the phuckers what they want. If they want to kidnap you for the "million dollar ride", then fight to the death not to get in the car, because they will kill you anyway.
