Hola

Friends, Brand spanking new here. Looking forward to my upcoming experience. The predominant motivation for my CR excursion is to get a bunch of dental procedures done. Can anyone confirm or chime in re: Costa Rica Dental Team in San Jose? (for reference - http://costaricadentalteam.com). It's been overwhelming research. Lots of aggressive marketing from some clinic. Never knowing who's a shill on some forums etc, but I feel pretty confidant in my choice. I would appreciate feedback you guys, though. With respect and thanks!

If I was in your shoes I would research with Google to get a consensus on a particular practice. Look for reviews and ratings.

Costa Rica Dental Team will give you everything you need. They'll even pick you up and take you home. Highly recommended!

I know several people that have had extensive work done at International Dental Clinic. All three people were happy.

I too have got good service from them. They pick you up and bring you back. Got teeth cleaning done for $50. I was going to have a crown put in and they took X-rays and did a complete check of my teeth. The cost of the crown would pay for the X-rays . I think it was going to cost about $500.
I did not get the work done because I decided to just pull the tooth. They were a pretty competent team and they make the crowns in a lab on the premises so it is done in a day. No temp crown shit.
This was when they were called Esthetic Dental Center about 4-5 years ago. They are the first dentist CRT sponsor.

I have had root canals, crowns, fillings, and a bridge done at Costa Rica Dental Team. Most of that work was done four to five years ago, and I haven't had any problem. Now, I go there twice a year for cleaning. Their normal cleaning is more like a periodontal cleaning in the US. Also, many of the staff speak English.

Gracias, Amigos.

I'm a cunt hair away from pulling the trigger and booking my appointment for CRDT. The research has been a grueling slog. Weighed the pros and cons and they come out ahead of the pack. Plus, I'm seeing that they have relationships with hotels Amistad and Sportsmans (pick you up and take you home everyday.) I didn't want to stay in some generic chain hotel in the suburbs (away from the action) I've been to Thailand (two full consecutive summers) so not a newbie to the craft, only to the culture in CR. I'm excited of a new smile and having plenty to smile about!

I had a lot of work done by CRDT and I`m very happy. My dentist in Canada can`t believe how good a job they did and the low price.

True that CRDT is a Sponsor but here's their Website directly. I also had minor work done there back in the day and was pleased with the cost and results. However if you want to weigh other options.:

I didn't think I could post here because I haven't renewed my membership. No trips planned anytime soon :(
but I'll add my vote for Costa Rica Dental Team. I had major work done by them due to years and years of neglect on my part. I needed tons of stuff done from periodontal surgery in four quadrants, implants, bridges, and probably a thing or two I don't remember now. I am missing my receipts atm because of a recent move, but I paid about a third of the 30k I was quoted here in Ca. The people there made everything I had done as pleasant as possible. Dr Yelda Fernandez did most of my work other than the periodontal and implant specialists they bring in for those treatments. She is a great dentist, and has excellent chair side manners. It's been about three years now since my trips down there (two trips in six months) and all my work is just fine, plus they have a ten year warranty. Can't go wrong with em.

Not sure of your travel dates but +1 for Costa Rica Dental Team. Had a very positive experience.

I'm from the USA and even got reimbursed through my flex spend account YMMV.

I had some extensive work done about 3 years ago by the now-named Costa Rica Dental Team; a couple of root canals and crowns on all of my teeth. I had a problem with one of my crowns chipping and they replaced it with absolutely no hassle on my next trip.

They do a great job and since they have the lab on-site, you can usually get all of the work you need done on a single one week trip (except for implants). The work I had done in seven days (4 appointments) would have probably taken 3 to 4 weeks in the states and cost 3 times as much.

As far as I know, you can stay almost anywhere in the San Jose area and they will pick you up and drop you off at no additional charge.

I highly recommend them.
