Hello everyone i am a African American male and will be making my first trip to San Jose CR coming up August 13th. Just wanted to know where can i get a haircut and beard trim while in San Jose. Any info will be useful, thanks in advance guys. |

Peluqueria Maritza On Calle 11, betwn. Avenidas 10 & 12, west side of calle, a little south of Relax The shave is fantastic, my buddies also get facials, haircuts, manicures & pedicures there If your Spanish is good call 2223-7929 & make an appointment |

Right next to Bar Poas, there is a salon run by a woman that comes into Poas in the evening. I would imagine you could get a hair cut there and have a drink in Bar Poas while you wait. |

There is a barber shop that specializes in African-american type hair on the first floor of the San Pedro mall. From the main exit, Go to the left, just past the key maker. They play some Spanish gangsta rap too. I'm not A-A but I go there to get a shave, because they know how to handle a razor. Two doors further down is a nail salon that gives a good mani-pedi. |
