CR Newbie here, but long time Thailand resident (14 years).

In Thailand, one can opt for the 1-2 hour "Short Time", or negotiate an all nighter/sleepover "Long Time" (for a slightly higher fee of course).

Granted, I normally prefer the ST over the LT, but on rare occasion, I'll go for the LT to get the real nice girlfriend experience, providing of course, the vibe is right.

Planning a CR trip next month & I'm doing my research on this site (just joined an hour ago), plus many, many other sites, & I haven't heard the LT experience mentioned anywhere, so thought I'd ask.

Thanks for any advice.

CR is similar to Thailand and elsewhere around the world. As you know, money talks.

My advice is to bring your wallet. $100 minimum unless you know the girl very well, in which case, it can be free.

Mommies are common in CR, and many like to leave you at 5 am. So negotiate the departure beforehand.

LongTime=TLN. I have never been anywhere but CR, but have listened to others compare different places. Many indies cannot do TLN due to family obligations. Some of the ones that can stay all night tend to make calls and generally plan for the morning 'adios'.

I have heard it described that Asian girls like to stay the night, and it can become problematic to get them to leave. I do not know if that is the exception or the rule, but that isn't my experience in CR.

Chemistry is key to a successful TLN. I have only done TLN with 2 chicas ... both of whom I am fond.

Bashfuldwarf, Thanks as well. I had to chuckle about getting rid of them the next day in Thailand......Correct.

I know a guy that's had to change hotels because she kept harassing him (poor guy) :shock:

He had one that he had to drag out into the hallway once kicking & screaming also....I think it was the same girl.

In CR, LT when run you about $300.. I was able to talk it down to $250.

I would like to see the Thai girls refuse to leave. Even if I say I won't pay them for their time after the night? I will have to see this for myself in a couple of weeks. :lol:

RoadM, are you talking companionship or mongering, when you refer to the 3 to 5 hours?

I prefer SL girls to DelRey for the fact that they are more up to making a night of it ... eating, dancing, movies and such. I've never paid extra for their time, but I agree to the ending costs in advance. This is a companionship thing, and again, I've never paid for it (other than paying the tabs).

I don't do multi-hours in the room, but I have gathered in conversations with mongers and chicas that the costs is based upon the timeframe.

Oh, and as to the sleeping with someone in the bed, some are good cuddle-buddies. Crank up the A/C and snuggle up. It can be awesome.

You will find some things in common with Thailand, but also many differences in Costa Rica - what is the Thai saying....."Same same, but different" - or words to that effect.

You will pay anywhere from $100 - $300++ for a TLN (all nighter)

Personaly, not my thing - I don't want to pay them to sleep, plus as a wise monger posts, I don't pay them to stay, but to leave :lol: :lol: :lol:

I realize everyone has different tastes, and that's fine - I would tell you the best TLN is when it happens on its own; you both want to stay together.

Something else to be aware - many of the girls have K*ds, often young, and a TLN can end rather early - like 5AM or so - just something else to keep in mind. Also - unless I knew the girl - I would not make a TLN my first time with her. Good question, and good luck.

Hey RoadMn! Thanks for the welcome! Looks like some cool guys on this forum for sure!

No definite travel dates as of yet. I'm stuck in Central FL trying to take care of some business & not sure when it will finish. GOD these fat Redneck chicks are BUTT UGLY!!!!! It's quite depressing.

HiOctane, Lot's of crazy bitches in LOS (Land of Smiles)! Choose your LT wisely. Make sure she leaves her ID with the front desk if you keep her overnight.

I only ever had one problem with an LT.......I was STUPID. I had shagged her (my all time record for one night) 5 times the night before & gave her 1,000 baht in the morning, which was about $40 or so in 1999. Mind you this was only my 2nd ever trip to LOS.

I went out & found her the next night. Got her back to the room & (STUPID), pre-paid her $80 as I felt I had stiffed her in more way than one the night before & went to take a leak.....Came out of the pisser & she was gone.

Prices - WOW! What a difference! LT will run $60-$75 in LOS, ST $30-$50. You can get the Beach Road daytime gals for 500 baht ($15) so I've heard......I never tried them, though one pal says he's found some real jewels there & decided to keep them for a day or 3 at $30 a day.

CR seems to be about the same as Madrid, with ST's running 60 Euro in the cat houses. Oh well, I gotta give it a go! It's just money.

Just a little bit about me. El D (there's already an El Diablo registered here).

My Dad (Rest his Soul), was a HUGE fan of Honduras back in the late 70's & all thru the 80's.

He took me with him when I was 12, & again when I was 15. Popped my first-ever nut in a Honduran gal at 15. Dad had put Angel (she was 23) on me when I was 12 at Tela beach (1979). After being spoiled by Thailand you may be let down by Costa Rica unless you approach it with an open mind and write off a lot to experience.
First I assume you know Spanish.
Read "Costa Rica for Newbies" by Orange at the beginning of Topics in the newbie section.
Expect to pay between $60 and $80/hour for independent girls at The Del Rey and Sportsmans Lodge. Asking for a tip for many services included in you session in Thailand is also becoming common practice.
Strip Clubs are either ripoffs or not worth wasting time in in my opinion. Nothing like LOS here.
In Jaco it is $100/hour. I doubt you can get LT (over nighters) for less than $150 and usually closer to $250 to $300 and you need to know what her idea of over night means. Many want to leave by 3 or 4 AM.
You cannot walk around after dark so be prepared to use taxis. Sunset is around 5:45 or so.
At MPs you can expect to pay $40/hour.
You may want to be picked up at the airport and get oriented by "One Lucky Dogg" or "Pura Vida Transport"
They can give you advice right there at the source and point you to great providers. Their charges are the same as airport taxi charges.

My Spanish is about as good as my Thai or Arabic. I ain't fluent but I can get by on the streets & taxis etc.

Never mongered in Arabic, just worked with rag-heads a lot.
