I'm not a Newbie, as I've been to San Jose this time of year the last two years and had great time. However, I keep reading that San Jose has lost its luster and that Jaco is now the place to go. What I'd like is some advice about is which one is superior for this time of year. Given that it's rainy season, wouldn't the Cocal and Jaco be a slightly less attractive option? How is the DR these days? Any and all advice is appreciated.

Jaco is good on Friday, Saturday nights. The girls who have K*ds go back to San Jose on Sunday and they all have K*ds. Day activities are slow all the time with the girls sleeping into the afternoons after their night of work. The Cocal was jamming last Friday and Saturday. It will get slower later in the Summer and early fall as the fishing season gets worse. The attraction to Jaco for the girls are the high rollers who frequent Los Suenos.

Very true. I have seen a lot of talk on the board, when reviewing older posts, that what people pay has no effect on what a guy can get. If you don't have your heart set on one particular girl, that is true. However, the talk about places being "dead" in SJ is directly related to this subject. I know many girls that are simply not in view any more. If you don't have their phone number (it has probably been changed anyway), you will never see them again.

Most of them have learned their lesson about cheating on their source of income and would kick the hottest, coolest, suavest guy in the world to the street and tell him to come back in 3 years when she has made her fortune. Word gets around, and most guys are simply not taking their shit anymore. CRT and the guy network in general has definitely made it a buyer's market. I dumped a girl on December 24 a couple years back with no cash for cheating on me. Locked her out of the house and told her to get her own taxi or start walking. She must have cried a million tears about her K*D's christmas being ruined. Her fault. She broke the rules, she got what she deserved. Now all the girls that know her know that you do not Phuck with BBF. Some of them think I'm scum -- Perfect, because those are exactly the kind of girls that I don't want talking to me. Others still approach me and obey the rules (which is whatever you and the girl agree upon). We have a great time together and I treat them very, very well.

In summary, both the guys and girls have gotten much more unforgiving and opportunistic. In CR, the days of finding a sucker on every corner (for both the girls and guys) are getting much harder to find.

I'm getting in on a Sat in SJ around 9 PM ish. Given immigration, etc, would it make sense to go to Jaco that night? I have Sat, Sun, and Mon nights .... which is better, Jaco or SJ? How is Jaco on Sunday and Monday?

Thanks!

Doc.Cane - By the time you get out of the airport (30 minutes to an hour) and get to Jaco (hour and a half) it will be around 11pm. Still a lot going on on Sat, but Sun and Mon in Jaco aren't real good. My advice would be just stay in San Jose for those three nights. One caveat, if you enjoy tourist stuff in the daytime like zip lines, ATV tours etc...Jaco is a much better place for that kind of thing 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Really just depends on your priorities and what you want to accomplish on your trip. Hope you have a GREAT time regardless!

Its going to be raining the whole time I'm there. Will that affect the ladies coming out?

Also, if I'm staying at the SL or something, should I still be taking a cab at night to HDL? They kind of look close on the map, but maybe not.

It normally doesn't rain all day, mostly in the afternoons and evenings (usually). Rain doesn't alter the normal activities of the people here...they are used to it. As for taking a cab, after say 9-10pm, it is a wise idea although I've made that walk 100s of times later than that. The SL/DR are fairly close, about a 5 block walk, maybe 10 minutes max.

Just one question, is how do the girls expect to land a guy at Los Suenos? I understand they have tight security, and hookers do not get in at Los Suenos. Am I wrong?

I've found most of the condo complexes inside Los Suenos do allow guests. Even those that say they don't usually will. Even the Marriott has been known to allow guests. If you do go to Jaco and do stay in Los Suenos, do NOT mention where you are staying to any potential guests....or the price immediately rises.
