Will be there in late May. Wonder if you can recommend some hotels that are not very obvious to others. I need to kind of hide my intention.
It will great if they are less than $80 and "lady" friendly.

Not obvious--- probably Dunn Inn ( The queen rooms are really nice--$69, CRT discount applies here). The $59 rooms are nice but small.

I agree with Dave. The Dunn Inn is the perfect choice. As a matter of fact, their slogan is "The Dunn Inn: Since Boyd got fired we TOTALLY don't have any hookers here!"

The Dunn does still have at last report a wonderful bartender probably in the Tropix, the lobby bar/restaurant--Magda Aragoncalvo. Helpful woman with a great singing voice.

thank you guys. however, Dunn Inn still have a reputation of prostitution. I wonder if there are some that do not look suspicious on paper at all.

http://www.hotelrincondesanjose.com/ just down from the SL and Amistad. As for "chica friendly".....YMMV.....depends on if you can "...reach an understanding..." with the front desk. Too, the hotel has a seperate apartment you can rent...

you can also try the Hotel Europa...friendly but no girls hanging around.

Norman- any hotel that is " girl friendly" has at least some reputation of prostitution. Dunn Inn and La Amistad are girl friendly -- not hooker hotels, where pros are hanging out. You could stay at Balmoral, Holiday Inn or Sleep Inn ( they are not obvious) and you can take a girl in with you-- but you will pay a hefty $ price for their entrance. The " obvious" are SL- DR- Morazan-HLH. Not sure what you are really looking for.

Good choice would be Hotel Santo Tomas. Up to recently did not allow "guests" at all so it does not have a reputation as a monger hotel.. Now charge a $15.00 fee.

Good location close to HLH.

Agree 100% with Brother ID--and it's across the street from Harry's Bar Poas and a couple of small restaurants. Excellent choice, especially in this case...

I sent Hotel Santo Tomas an email regarding their guest policy and assured them i am a discreet and low key gentleman. Their response was in bold letters and size 24 font "We do not allow prostitutes in our hotel! fwiw
