Hey guys, Are there any active forums for CR that are non monger? Here in thailand we have http://www.thaivisa.com/forum Just wanted to get a place that has more generalized info. The info on this site has been fantastic btw but I need more general info Greg |

I did a google search and came up with a few ex-pat forums on sites like expatfocus and alloexpat. They don't seem to have much activity, though... very limited posting. The CRT ex-pats members on here, like IrishDrifter or Bilko, can point you in the right direction. |

You have a good number of expats on tripadvisor, although they mostly have agendas so you have to kind of read between the lines. Honestly, you are going to have to just come down and check it out for yourselves. Been living here for over 12 years and any CR stuff I see on the internet is usually an extreme version of everything from gringo points of view. So much so that when I read Costa Rica forums I wonder where the hell in Costa Rica the poster lives.

Try CostaRicaLiving in Yahoo Groups. I get a daily email discussing what's happening in CR along with discussion of problems and issues encountered, along with some offering solutions and iinsights. |
