Going to be making my first trip to CR near the end of January. Will be staying in San Jose for a couple of days but then have to go to Jaco for a couple days for business. Have a couple days left over the weekend. Was hoping to get folks thoughts on whether I should go back to San Jose for Saturday and Sunday nights or stay in Jaco?

What is the scene like in Jaco? Any recommendations on hotels to stay at there? It seems like there are a number of nice condos that might be nicer rooms than some of the hotels. Any idea whether generally there might be problems bringing girls back to the nicer condo developments.

Thanks

Hands down SJ. Finish your business in Jaco and get back to SJ. Jaco is an OK get away if you are down for a long stretch, but I'm fairly sure you will like SJ better. Of course YMWV!!

SJ is the candy store. Jaco is the outhouse for the candy store that you have to drive to get to...and I mean that literally.

Thanks very much. I have booked Sportsmens for early in the week but it is filled up for the weekend. Should I go for Amistad or HDR on the weekend?

As for Jaco, while I am there would appreciate any hotel and bar recommendations? Also, if anyone has any views on any of the condos there.

Thanks for any advice

I stayed at the Poiseiden (sp?) Hotel, great food, fair rooms in Jaco. Most of the action is the Beetle Bar. The girls that work in Jaco are the same girls you might find in the HDR in SJO. Jaco is worth a couple days/nights but SJO has way more going on. I would not hesitate to recommend 2 or 3 days on the coast, depending on how much time you have total.

is it really that far walking? i usually just walk down the street from sl and up the stairs. idk seems to go quick anyway  then again it might be my pace alone at night.

While there is not the volume, the chicas at the beach during the season tend to be hot. A lot of the better looking ones, and the smart ones that don't have multiple Babi*s and pouches head to the beach to work. There are some very nice views around the pools at times during the day. But this is hit or miss. Thinking about taking a group down soon. Will report back how high season is looking and where the daytime action is this year.

There is a new spot that is gonna have weekly bikini contests and such called The Boy's Club and Pool Bar. It is close to I Love Sushi as you are first getting into Jaco. Might have potential. I'm thinking from the Facebook page they might wanna get a little racy, if not downright sleazy. Gonna try to check out the first contest and pool party on Jan. 14th. Just a possibility.

Followed up and asked a question and this is response I got. Not vouching for how it will be, just passing on info as daytime action is always asked about in Jaco:

"We have 10 girls that have rented a house on the property, as well as 50 working girls that came by to see the pool, gym, Jacuzzi, Rec Room and they can't wait to start working in the daytime by a pool."

He also mentioned that the Beatle Bar is referring people since they don't open until after dark anyway.

For what it's worth, as a newbie to the CR deal. My impression of SJO is that it's a solidly pro scene, and there's lots of information on where to go, who to go after, what you'll likely find, what you'll pay, etc., and then beyond that it's a city, with the good and bad that comes with that.

Jaco feels more like the wild west to me from a chica standpoint, and it's a resort town where most anything goes. On my first brief visit last August I never even got to the pros because I got picked up by a bartender who made me work it all night, and when I was there last month it almost felt like you could Phuck any girl, right off the street or the beach in the middle of the day, whatever, and San Jose certainly doesn't feel like that. I never made it to the Beetle Bar, but was at the Monkey Bar on a Friday night and the place was comfortably packed, probably 75% girls, lots of hot stuff, and seemingly all quite ready and willing. Lot of the usual cien thing you get at the DR or KL, but quite negotiable from there. Nice scene.

And somehow it feels like more shades of gray in Jaco, girls who want to hang at the beach and surf, and need someway (one) to pay for it. If you have a dream to pull off a pro-am double like I do, that is the place to try it! I don't get the impression that you're as likely to be guaranteed quite the bang for the buck you can in SJO, but with a little work and luck it seems like anything is possible. Then there's the warmer weather, the beach and pool scene, the bikinis...

So different strokes for different folks. I'm going back next month, and have 3 nights booked at the SL, then 7 at the Poseidon, and then 5 back at the HLH - should have a little better sense of the relative pros and cons after that... :D
