I saw a post last week about stuff to bring to CR. Amount of money, lube, condoms etc… and I will be damned if I can find it. I thought it was in the Newbie section, but I can’t find it. Can someone point me to it or give some suggestions on what to bring and what to buy once in San Jose.

What do you take when you travel anywhere else?

All you really need is money... Everything else can be bought or rented by the hour...

Well I had and idea. My father, unfortunately, has been laid up in the VA hospital for a month now, the good news is he sends me bags of stuff. Like sample shampoos, soaps, lotions, etc. I figure they would make nice gifts for the girls.
This is my first time traveling out of the country. Except short trips to Mexico and shorter trips to Canada. Honestly I haven’t flown since 2005 because its just too much hassle.
I will be staying for 8days leaving at 1:05 AM on the 8th. I am hoping to make this work for $1,000 - $1,500. would like some opinions on that budget plan

Ouch! Let's look:

Hotel @ $60 per - $480
Food @ $40 per - $320
Drinks @ $30 per - $240

Total - $1040 without entertaining chica one...

I'd say you are looking at more like $2000-$2500.

Ouch! Let's look:

Hotel @ $60 per - $480 You can shave this down to $35-50 With cash at Castillo or HLH
Food @ $40 per - $320 Same ..$ 20-???
Drinks @ $30 per - $240 Not enough for me :D but $20 will get you far

Total - $1040 without entertaining chica one...

I'd say you are looking at more like $2000-$2500.

San Jose can be a cheap date

But once you are there the worst thing that can happen is to run out of money

If you are on a such a tight budget, you can cut that the expenses in half:
Stay at Castillo @ $30/day - $240
Eat at Tico places @ $20 - $160
Drink less @ $15 - $120

Total $520.

The weirdest thing that I added to my bring-to-CR list as a newbie turned out to be one of the best items.
I went to Target and bought a few of those cheap, women's shower caps! You would be surprised how many Colombianas made a little stink about getting their hair wet in the shower before I went down to biz...when I whipped those little Babi*s out I always got the strange look and reaction but believe me brah it was well worth the small investment...

Pura Vida
