I got a question for everybody, but it might sound dumb. Is the SL known as a mongering site to locals? I been talking to a pretty cute Tica on okcupid. she mentioned some sites to visit and actually told me to stay out of san jose, lol. She asked when and where i was staying, i told her the sl. She said she lives 5 mins away. So, i asked if she wanted to meetup and she said sure. I am not expecting much if anything and this all our convos summed up.

You won't have to worry about Ms Cupid once she sets foot in the SL... Either she is on the game or she will run away as fast a she can once she gets the picture...

Yes, the SL is a known mongering spot to the locals, maybe not like the Del Rey but the Ticos know what goes on there. When Miss Cupid walks in and sees all the hookers and old gringos, she'll be either ok with it or run away screaming.

A third possible scenario is that everyone knows her there.

Lol, i was just browsing the site one day when i was bored. I am not looking to wife up and i have read about that fool rolltide, lol. i was just curious because i would not mind meeting some local people, but then if i got asked where you are staying it is assumed i just want to bang hookers. That is why i did not pick the del rey and in case someone i work with googled the del rey.

I get the same look and questions at work too, "ohh What are you gonna do in Costa Rica? Where are you staying?" I tell them the Hampton Inn at the Airport when I arrive, then I start listing all the non-sexual activities: I am going to Arenal, the Beach, Nicoysa (sp?) peninsula, Montezuma beach, ATV riding, zip lining, etc. Usual by item three they are giving me looks of approval and wishing me a good time.

I am still not so sure about a local hook up, it could all be a RFM play.

Oh, I would still do one activity to talk about at work like ATV tour.

I can write a better response now since I am at my computer, I just bought a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tab. The thing is awesome it's similar to an IPad, but it's basically a tablet running Andoird OS.

From what I know about her and don't quote me on how accurate it is, because we all know everything on the Internet is true. She is 31, single, no K*ds, college educated, works with the Government (don't know doing what), and her English is very good to fluent; all of our conversations have been in complete English with nothing that made me say "WTF, did she say?". I do agree with everyone though knowing since she lives close how can she not know. I'm not really going out with a mindset for a local hook-up, I just kind of go with whatever happens. Who knows she could have just been being polite when she told me "yes".

I do plan on doing some kind of activity, I wanted to check out the Hacienda Baru. But, the tour I wanted required a minimum of two people and there were no other groups scheduled during my time frame. I do have a security clearance, so I'm limited on certain countries (Venezuela, Colombia, etc...), I can travel to without them raising an eyebrow for more detailed explanation.

Take her to Bar Rio in San Pedro, if by chance she is a buena then she will judge you by your choice of the sportsmen. However, you might be able to snow her by a great place to play pool, good food, and your first time in the country.
