Gentlemen,
This is my 1st trip to CR for 'indoor activities' and I'm having a BLAST! As a newbie, I simply can't recommend Pop's Tour highly enough. The results have been SPECTACULAR (and sincerely appreciated).

Figuratively speaking, I walked in dumb, blind (well, not really), and deaf and in no time flat (under the guidance & watchful eye of Pops) have fully embraced all that CR has to offer and racked up some absolutely amazing experiences.

The lessons & advice Pop's passed on have been utterly priceless! Far and away the best investment I could have made in making the very most of this trip.

Bottom-line: If you're new, or looking to rehone your skills/options, there is no better service than Pop's IMHO.

THANKS POPS!!!

Best,
2Explore (1 or 2 or 3 @ a time :))

I traveled on my first trip to San Jose in October and then again in November. I see no advantage whatsoever in going on a tour. The gulch is very easy to learn, use your maps an normally you will meet a wingman that knows all the ropes. Conversation at the breakfast table is where you will get a lot of information.

Glad you had a great trips; to each his own & I'm merely reporting on my excellent experience. Girls that I liked I pointed out to Pops and could then get the down-low; saving me $$ & time, while honing my skills. Everyone I've met who's taken it has responded positive/found it valuable.

Since you haven't taken one, I would bet it IS hard to imagine the value

Guys like Pops and BB57 are more than just guys shootin the bull at breakfast.Obviously, YMMV rules all, but some of the very best sessions I have ever had were set ups from BB57.

Take a tour, don't take one. But don't discount the value unless you partake

If you knew Pops you might change your mind. He is a class act. He teaches you from the get-go how to negotiate, where all the MP's are and describes all the major points of interest in the city. Probably, more importantly, you gain a new friend that you bump into every time you go to San Jose.

Never took a tour with Pops or BB57, but I met both on several of my trips. Both are great to hang out with, and have plenty of intel they may share with you.

From everything I've read on CRT and Pops website, I'm probably going to take Pop's tour when I head down there later this year. It seems like a must for first timers. My only reservation about his tour is that you are broadcasting your newbie status. When bad chicas, thieves, scammers, etc see you walking around town with him, do you become a target for them later when you're alone?
