I have a rather odd question, but I was wondering if there's any tourist merchants around the Gulch that might sell old CR license plates? I have this hobby where I get plates from every country I visit and put them up in my workshop but the last couple of times I was in San Jose I couldn't find any. Of course I had a couple of cabbies offer to "get me one" but I would rather not have one that just got boosted from some poor schmuck's car :)

If you cant find one in Costa Rica, you can find them on Ebay occasionally. Usually ending bid is under $30.

If you get one from someone in Costa Rica then someone else is probably looking for their plate.

PC,
That is a cool idea. I like it. Hope you dont mind if I start doing that myself. I have been collecting the small 3 X 5 inch flags and of course money and coins. Actually I buy Old coins from each. I have several coins from colombia and panama that were from the leprosy colonies, that were there in the early 1900's to the 1930's. But like your idea much better.

Go nuts :) I stole the idea from the pubs I used to frequent. A lot of them decorate the walls with old license plates and stuff. I also collect coins as well but not as much as I did when I was a K*D. I don't have many rare ones, but I had over a hundred different countries in coins last time I counted them. I do have a couple of really old silver coins from Panama and several from pre-revolution Cuba.
