Must say that I love the collective knowledge available on the forums, I feel a hundred times more prepared for my trip next week now compared to several weeks ago before I started reading. Today's question relates to chica-proofing the hotel room. According to the forums, #1-3 are the standard protections many CRT members use to chica-proof their hotel rooms.

1) Keeping passport/credit card/non-essential cash in the safe. Carry in the wallet only the minimal amount required to pay for the day's expenses.

2) Chain and lock the suitcase (with all essential items locked inside) to a piece of furniture.

3) Empty the fridge and minibar for collection by the hotel staff upon arrival.

What about #4 below? Is this a viable and employable safeguard? If this does work, are there any hotels that would/would not do this for a guest?

4) I've read somewhere on the forums (but was not able to find it again) about a fellow CRT member who asked the front desk of his hotel to HOLD THE CHICA's CEDULLA until they were finished. After they were done, he would pay her and inspect the hotel room one last time before escorting out to the front desk and approving the return of the cedulla. This sounds like an excellent plan, but I've also read that counterfeit cedullas are easily obtainable and any CR citizen may request a new cedulla and receive it within a few weeks. So, will the girls who intend to steal something really care enough about the cedulla to refrain from pilfering your belongings?

Any comments? Did I miss any crucial chica-proofing strategies?

#4 is a little bit of a stretch, though I see your point. Many of the hotels do indeed retain the cedula at the front desk....the Castillo being one of them. I have never had a problem. Your best defense against theft, is to size up the chica before going to the room. Your gut instinct is usually correct. Also, don't leave any temptation in front of them to begin with.

I think you are going a little overboard.
1. Leave your wallet in the safe also, keep a copy of your passport and entry stamp on your person.
Take enough cash for activities and taxis.
2. I think locking your suitcase will suffice, no need to "chain " it to furniture.
3. Some hotels will check the cedulas like the Sl, Dunn Inn will hang on to them until they leave.
The Sl girls all have cards unless you pull from somewhere else and bring them back, then they will check them in using I.D..
4. Seems like a lot of thought is going into this, relax, where are you staying???

Mini Bar, I have it emptied and restock it myself with what I want.

At the Dunn Inn they have a lock on the mini bar. Also the front desk keeps the girl's cedulla when you take her to your room. Afterwords when she goes back to the front desk to pick up her cedulla before leaving they phone your room to confirm all is well before letting her go.

Also like 911 Driver says do not carry a wallet around but keep the cash for that outing only in your pocket.

Remember to carry a copy of your passport front page and a copy of the entry stamp. Your hotel should do this for you. If you can make the copy of the front page of your passport before you leave you usually will get a better copy than the one they make at the hotels.

Lots of good advice here but I agree that some of this is a bit over the top..

Look, the best way to chica proof anything is to do a better job in chica selection......

Ah fug it,
In all honesty the last 3 trips I have kinda wifed up, gave them the key during happy hours and runs to the store,
just let them have the run of the room. I did have my camera, money and passport locked up but left my I-pod and speaker system so they could listen to tunes. Never had a problem. I guess as Cujo says you need to know the chica. I even had Carolina take a nap in the afternoon while I was out @ the bar, she came out and asked if she could have a bottle of water   , I know, never say never, but I do repeat with the same chicas most of the time as they are a known commodity. Blast away Amigos

If they need dirty clothes or underwear with race stripes, they can have at it.

As a further security measure, the Hotel Dunn Inn also photocopies the Chica's cedula. You get all this back on check-out and I highly doubt any permanent record is kept.

I think especially for first timers, having taken all the proper precautions will put our minds at ease, and will therefore enhance the overall experience. Otherwise, we'll dwell on it and will completely ruin the evening. It's like when you're out doing something fun, but all of a sudden you thought you left your stove on or forgot to lock your car, and those thoughts completely derail your focus. Sometimes it gets so bad, you have to leave the venue just to check on your car or call yourself at home to see if the phone has been melted by the fire yet.

Points taken about better chica selection. I'll see what I can dig up, although I have a feeling that's something that can't quite be explained in the forums and I'll have to see it for myself to understand it. I'll be there in just a few days. =)

If I don't maximize my room security, I can just imagine myself thinking in the middle of a crucial moment: "Oh baby, oh baby, this girl is smoking hot and has mad skills, I can't believe I didn't have to pay cien, wow, that feels SO good, oooooohhhhhh, ooohhh, oh god, oh god, just a little more, I'm about to... @#$! where's my camera? Did this girl just take my camera when I wasn't looking?... oh wait, it just fell to the floor, hahaha, silly me, should have just locked everything up, oh crap, flaccid penis incoming. DOH!" <---- Can anyone attest to having a similar experience?

Well, if you intend to use a camera and/or Ipod or whatever with some unknown-to-you chica, then you could leave it our beforehand. Just don't go into the bathroom alone and leave the stuff unattended with the chica. :D

You should probably superglue your dick to your thigh in case she tries to steal that too.
