I think it is to be able to identify you in case you lose your card, lets say in CR, and a replacement can be issued quickly.

or, if you paid with a credit card, like i did, maybe it helps with processing the charge.

however, I believe you can also register annonymously via mail and money order.

it's been awhile since i paid.

can cards still be picked up at Zona Blue?

Hey Brother Wesley it's not the Police you gotta worry about...but one of those alphabet agencies wants a guy with your obvious talents that spends time in CR...and everything they know about you (that time you spit on the sidewalk, that over-due library fine) will be used to knuckle you. In their case, they have to stop for croissants first. Just funnin' Bro.

I never spit on the sidewalk...when I was a K*D I was hanging out with some "no-gooders" or whatever, and they were always spitting on everything..so one day out of just "monkey see, monkey do" I spit on my grandmother's floor...she got mad,I was embarrassed, and I never spit on anything again unless I swallowed a fly or something.

I know..touching story...but there is plenty of other stuff they can use to knuckle me under...maybe the time when I was 12 and I kicked my female cousin in the crotch for trying to do the same to me..if they have that on record I may be in trouble.

Actually we don't ask alot of questions only what is "Legally Required" to process a credit card.

If you want to remain under the radar you may always contact me for mail in instructions.

Note: We do not harvest or sell your info to anyone in our check out page is secure. Hence we take a minimum amount of information - phone #'s as it states are only if there is a problem with your check out order.

For ALL of us this horse already left the barn and some school teacher already use the glue made from the horse. For the original poster, I understand your concern about the phone number but put it on perspective; you already gave your name and CC number. Unless you have been living in Africa without any human contact and abandon by your parents at birth, some agency already have every piece of information about you in the Internet. It is a matter of just finding it and the bots are getting better and faster at finding those little pieces of information.

The only advice that is semi-valid at this time is just to smoke screen your identity, how?

1 – Get a CC for Internet use only
2 – Email that you do not mind ditching
3 – Use a Proxy while connecting to the internet
4 – Do not post on ANY forum. You will ultimately reveal yourself
5 – Phone number that you can change continuously – aka Google Voice

And even with the above actions you are just making it harder but not invisible for those gathering information on you. Welcome to the information age.
