Being San Jose is over 3,000 foot elevation, is there any tropical feel to the daytime? Especially if I book for November-early December.
Is San Jose chilly at night in November?
What about other months of the year?

Been so close to the equator. the weather in San Jose is a little different than that of the United States so I would suggest you do a little research on the Internet about the weather at different time during the year. November December has a tropical feel. Mainly Costa Rica has 2 season wet and dry.. not hot and cold..

San Jose has a temperate climate. It can be hot during the day but in general it is between 76 - 84 during the day. If you go to the Pacific coast it can be hot during the day but pleasant at night.

It can be chilly at night anytime of the year so bring a light weight jacket with you just in case.

Basically the weather is similar to Hawaii or Southern California.

You'll be there during the wet season so make sure you have an umbrella. All the wet season means is it is more likely to rain.

You picked my favorite time to go, March and April are my next choice.

mid-november is the start of the dry season. But, december tends to be very windy and can get quite chilly. I'd definitely bring a wind breaker or fleece jacket or something.

Night can get down to about 60 degrees.

Wanted to get away from the New York chill in the autumn.
So I suppose I won't be basking in the tropical sun with shorts and a t shirt in San Jose with temps in the 70's and 60 at night.
