I was reading the restaurant review section of crt and someone said they
paid 15mil for their food. how much is 15mil? what is a mil?

super newbie, hehe.

mil in spanish stands for a thousand.

so 15mil means 15,000. i'd assume it's 15,000 colones rather than dollars because that would just be ridiculous lol.

the exchange rate right now is about 584 colones to the dollar.

15,000/584 = $25.68 USD
