Newbies, please...

This is a forum about gentlemen's travel to Costa Rica, which includes information about pay 4 play...i.e. prostitution.

It is not a lonely hearts website, it is not an adult dating site, it is not an introduction service.

If you're coming here to inquire about "non-pro" chicas, you'd be better served elsewhere.

To indulge the lazy, starry-eyed and hopeless, I will now answer the age-old question:

"Can I score with non-pro girls, and where do I find them?"

Short answer. Yes, if you speak Spanish fluently, aren't over 35, not overweight, have money, are unattached and are free to marry or at least have a long-term relationship, and can move to C.R. to live.

Otherwise, no.

C.R. is a very conservative country in most respects. Don't let the freewheeling prostitution that occupies what is essentially a mile-square area lead you into believing that ticas are "easy," and that you can do whatever you damn well please in Costa Rica.

I am encountering more boors, immature dolts, idiots, loud-mouths and drunks on every trip. Frankly, I wish you bobos would stay home in your backyard in the U.S.A., where it might be acceptable for a 50-something dude to act like an oversexed drunken teenage boy.

All that said... if you can blend into the culture (and the way to do that is to be inquisitive, respectful, and spend twice the time listening as you do talking), you might, MIGHT be able to date a tica who isn't a prostitute.

No, the girl at the duty free shop doesn't want you. She knows you're only on vacation. No, the girl at the MasX Menos doesn't want you; she's looking for a husband or at least, a local novio who can be with her long-term.

You wanna play with hookers? Great! You're on the right track (I just mistyped track as "trick..." hahah) by being here.

If you're a moony-eyed sop with romantic notions but no ability to attract women in your own backyard, here's an idea:" Go elsewhere.

Well said, El C. I'm really tired of these clueless ignorant types that think every woman in CR is "available". They're not. Outside of a small area in San Jose, a couple of bars in Jaco and a few odd other bars in the country, the women don't want to phuck you, not even for money. Now, if you want to move to CR, marry a nice girl, and raise a family, that's a different story. Remember, prostitutes are considered trash by most of the population.

To all the newbies out there -

Don't worry too much about El Ciego. His bark is worse than his bite. It's just that - he is in dire need of a good, sloppy latina BBBJ. :mrgreen: It's been a long time for him, so he's "backed up" and just a little "irritable" !!! :P Read the board as much as possible before your trip to CR, and make sure you bring your "A" game ! It'll help you with ALL the chica's !!! :lol:

No offense Brother JayJ, but did you read that part where Brother El C talked about (and I paraphrase) over 35, overweight, and longer than a 1-hour stand? Even with the Latin toleration of greater divergence in age, most of us don't qualify. Then as another Brother said recently (again a paraphrase), "If somebody's slipped money in her purse, she's a pro." Plus he's talking especially to newbies, trying to disabuse them of a particular fantasy. Your advice is not bad for seasoned vets, just not too aplicable to relative rookies.

Ain't tryin' to do Admin's job at all. I was simply reacting to a lot of nonsense that might be summed up like this:

"Dear CRT,

I am a loser who has had no luck/success in finding a woman here in the U.S.A. who will love me and my money for who we are. True, I'm old, out-of-shape and don't speak the local language, but I just KNOW that there is a tica who will be my lifelong sex slave/property/sweetheart. I have been exchanging PMs with a CRT'er who made every standard newbie mistake on his first trip. You all will never get to read his story, because he is understandably, embarrassed. The biggest mistake he made was to believe that, after one TLN she had real feelings for him, and that he had a future as her novio.

As far as my comments regarding antisocial behavior...you want to tell me you've never witnessed drunken louts fu*king up other people's good times by their bad behavior? You want to tell me that you've never noticed the involuntary cringe when a tico is confronted by a puto? If you've never seen this....you're more blind than I. That part was pure gut reaction.

If you don't like my posts, fine. I don't like all of yours. Don't read them. :idea:
