Already a detailed post in the archives but basically a wingman is a stand up guy.
A guy with similar likes as yourself and can be counted on in sticky situations. Sticky situations include (but are not limited to)

_ Jumping on a grenade: This happens when a duo/trio approaches you and your wingman. One of the two of you is really into one of the girls but seems like plans may fall through if her "wing woman" is left out in the cold. By far one of the toughest things to honor, but a good wingman would take the uglier chica in essance "jumping on the grenade" for you.

_ Back up: If things go down in the street/titty bar etc.. you would like to think your wingman would have your back instead of worrying if they are going to get arrested or not.

_ Good company: Finding a wingman that you get along with can turn out to be one of the best friendships you foster in life. Take advantage of each others strengths i.e. is your wingman a fluent spanish speaker? Enlist him for tanslation/tips. Is one of you more outgoing then the other? Send the outgoing guy into groups of chicas which can otherwise be intimidating to some. And so on...

-translate
-keep you from doing something stupid
-safety in numbers
-watch your back in case something jumps off in one of the bars
-knock some sense into you when you get a serious case of beer goggles
-help you find new places if you are a newbie
-do the fugly one if you want her hot friend

The safety issue is probably most important to me.

Cujo has described the newbie technique. For advanced monger teams, the Rodeo Clown is a much better maneuver: When the hottie and her fuglie sister approach, the wingman entertains the fuglie for not more than 8 minutes, thus giving his amigo an opportunity to seal the deal and abscond with the hottie.

All of the above is right on. Remember that you are the other guys wingman, so it applies to you, too! Also, a wingman may find a chica and leave you alone. He is there to have fun just like you are.

my first wingman sent me this, how true

" most of the girls down here, lie as a self defense mechanism and to not have to face the truth, thinking most men couldn't accept them knowing the whole truth. Simpler, they may just want men to think they are as perfect as they want to appear to them, trying to hide what they consider to be the ugly truth about themselves. And I may be reading more into it than is there, but I do believe they consider the basis of the lies to be justified."

I always enjoy a good wingman for reasons of conversation etc. But, safety is number one.

Safety is in numbers. So is fun. I like many wingmen. Many chicas. Let's party.

I would love to see an award go out to best wingman. Last time I went to CR, I flew a couple of missions with a couple of good men. I must say I was a great wingman. Not the best, but pretty good. Spanish helped a lot but also a good sense of humor.

The last move I did was spectacular. It was the Kansas City Shuffle. Where you make them look one way...and then you go the other. We met 2 girls at the DR. Both were attractive and Columbiana. I was going after one and he was going after the other. My partner didn't know it but after speaking to both of them I could tell the girls wanted to switch up. It was a great move on my part where I let him know after I got the next round of drinks. The girls didn't see it coming and we did the switch. Both approved and had a better time because of it. We were both on the same page.

That's part of the fun in CR. Making friends and making a name for yourself.

Cheers!!

BB

LMFAO @ No matter how ugly or fat, the wingman motto is "You take the best, I'll take the rest."

Yea. Cujo.. doesn't this apply to your other post ?.. # 13. If you and your wingman are tangoing with the same bogie, watch out for friendly fire.

signing in an extra little darling at places like the presidente hotel for a buddy also is an example of a good wingman.
