I would recommend a bank if you are doing a lot of money. The bank upstairs at the airport is good for large sums. I have done it before there. |

Thanks. See you all April 30-May 5th Best rate is always going to be at a bank. Avoid the government banks as the lines tend to be long. Use a private bank such as Scotia, HSBC, Citi, etc. The rates will be about he same at all the banks so you gain nothing by waiting in line. |

Yes, but be careful because she probably charges for deposits, has penalties for early withdrawal, and has no interest (in anything but your wallet)! |

You can change money (dollars) at the front desk of the SL I would think they have a limit and the rate is in favor of the house. Poster said "all money" do you have yen ? Do not know |

I always exchange my money at the bank in the INS building across from Castillo. I can't remember the bank name. Does anybody know the name of the bank in the INS building? Not that it's going to make more than a colone per dollar difference, but I like to do the math before I make the walk. |
