Hi everyone! California checking in here. I'm glad I found this site. I will be traveling to Heredia/San Jose to work purposes for possibly a month. It will be my first trip outside of the US, let alone to a place where my measley little salary would allow me to enjoy things and actually feel like a vacation. I'll have at least 4 weekends to see the sights and enjoy the ticas. Work will pay for my hotel for the entire time I'm there, but I plan on staying somewhere else for the weekends, on my own dime unfortunately.
Any tips would be much appreciated. Consider me a total rookie. I don't know crap about haggling or what the hell to do. I'm trying hard not to embarrass myself or Americans in general for that matter

I have a few questions...ok I have a ton of questions but I'll try to pace myself.
1) Booking hotels in San Jose. I'm considering the Sportsmens Lodge. How far in advance do you have to book? I dont want to get locked in if I dont have to.
Any reviews, recommendations, guides on how to conduct myself or recent pricing news?
2) tips? who should you tip and how much? who should you definitely not tip?
3) Can someone give me a play by play on how things work when you walk through the doors of a place like the sportsmens lodge, del rey, or presidente? I'd like to know what to expect? What I should try or do while I'm there and how's the atmosphere?
4) Working ticacs: Being a newb, I'm very curious about this. I'm still not sure if I believe what I've been reading. What's it cost to have a chick stay all night? Can you get 2 chicks at the same time? (Office Space) Can you bring cameras into those places? Can you take photos or videos of the chicks?
Help a single fellow out!
