I like to hang out and I don't mind buying drinks. But I'll party all night before I take a chica back to my hotel. So this is usually about 2 to 3 hours of partying. I speak ok spanish and can handle myself on the dance floor and las chicas seem to be having fun when they are around me. My questions is how long do most of you "handle to interviewing process". For me, it's more partying than interviewing but I believe I've seen ticos in there who also party with the girls with no intention of taking them anywhere. I guess I'm no different than them.

Also I'm positive I'm going to get a few hate post about hogging the girls but that's just what I do when I'm in Mexico. They are usually making some money from the fitcha prices. Anyways, I was hoping to hear what you guys think about my approach. It's really not going to change what I do and I'm not looking for positive approval just would like to know if I'm an asshole or not. But I will usually take the girl I'm partying with back with me.

BTW, I usually don't start partying until 12:00 or 1:00.

My impression is that the chicas will drop you soon enough if they think someone has $$$ to spend. I know I've spent hours with the stool beside me occupied with someone I'm not taking home and they're usually grateful for the drinks and conversation.

But I'm up front about whether I want to leave with them. many women still enjoy the attention and will still scan the room looking for men unattended.

My advice is you're not being an ass, you're enjoying yourself.

"Time is money".........I always keep this in mind. The girls are running their own little business. I don't like to waste their time. If a chica comes up to me and I'm not interested, I will politely tell her that I'm not looking for company, so she shouldn't waste her time with me.

If a chica does approach me and I am interested in her.....I will quickly negotiate the terms of the deal. If the chemistry seems right......off we go to the hotel room.

There is not a chica in the entire gulch that will view you and a Tico on the same level. You are viewed as an ATM, in general terms, and the Tico is viewed as someone to simply have a good time with until, maybe, an acceptable ATM walks along.

Why not just tell them what you plan to do. Something like, "let's party awhile and if we connect we'll continue the party in the cama."

I find they appreciate the honesty. My problem is when guys waste their time with no intentions of a financial reward at the end.

Very few of the girls want to spend time drinking and dancing with a guy just because he's so handsome, so much fun and such a fabulous dancer.

Do you know how you can tell when a gringo is drunk?.............He thinks he can dance!

I agree about not wasting their time. If you have no intention of taking them back to your room, you should say so right off. They are not there to socialize or party. They are working. Yes, they do party while working, but never come to just party with gringos and go home empty-handed. I have seen a guy party with a girl for about 4 hours (9-1am) at the bar, then told her to go home. The girl broke down into tears because she did not make any money that day.

If you want to take them back but you want to hanga nd drink for a while, say so. You'll find some that will stay and party while others will go and look for another client.

My final night over my LD trip I found a sweet Colombian at the HDR. We sat and talked for 30 minutes and shared a drink. I was getting the right vibes so I informed her that I would like to enjoy her company for TLN. I did not discuss specific services because she was doing everything right and I did not want to ruin the spontaniety.

We went over to the KL and hung out for 2 more hours before retiring to my hotel. If you want no problem than just be upfront about your intentions.

I never said anything about not going out with the girl but I don't bring it up until the end either. At which point usually it's just a matter of price. If she can meet my price, then it's a go. As for girls I'm not interested in, well I'm not interested in them. And I politely let them know that I'm not interested.

Why not just bring it up at the start? Seriously, they are there for work and yeah they have a good time sometimes but it is their only source of income.

On my last trip, it was already 12:30 AM and I’m trying to find a TLN, I called a chica over, Nica spend 20-30 minutes with her. I was planning to negotiate with her but the more I interview her, I realize no way I was going to spend the night with her. Since I have not bought her a drink, left 10k colones and told her to order a couple of drinks for herself and I move on. She probably pocketed the money after I left, but I figure that was worst her time.

When I move, I found one that I wanted to do but one of her friends pass by and told her that she was wasting her time and that I would not session with her. She listens to her friends and it was her lost because 10 minutes later I was leaving with a Colombiana. When I was leaving, I could see it on her eyes that she had made a mistake. KARMA!
