OK I'm looking for some input on how the weekend is.

Question should we stay at SJ first part of the week which would be Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday or would it be better for Ticas the last part, Tue Wed Thur?

My wingman thinks, from what he has read, that we would be better to stay the second half and go to Jaco 1st part?

I'd say weekends are at least far busier in both SJO and Jaco... a lot of the girls have day jobs and/or school during the week, and if you're looking for the hotter, younger, part timers your best bet is on the weekends.

For your 1st trip, spend the first part of your trip in SJO. You might like it enough to cancel your trip to Jaco. If you go to Jaco 1st - then SJO, you might be kicking yourself for not going to SJO 1st, as the balance of your trip will fly by!

My personal opinion is that far better deals can be had on the weekdays as opposed to the weekends. There are a ton of guys that fly in for Fri-Sun and the del rey can be packed with them. Granted, during the weekends the number of chicas may be fewer, but the chica/gringo ratio is much better.

There is relatively little difference in my opinion.

I've been telling everyone that I'm not coming back. I'm tired of the Bull$hit that goes on here. I just need someway to make a little bit of money. I don't have enough to retire on yet.

A LOT of girls are taking time off Monday and Tuesday. Plus on th weekends you pick up the students and girls looking for a few extra $$$$.

But I prefer the strip clubs early in the week. Less guys means I get more attention .

my first trip was landing on a Wednesday....great night but then we took off for Flamingo (ride from hell with a serious hangover) on Thursday. As good as the fishing was and Amberes at night was, By Saturday, we all wanted to go back to SJO. I love to fish but I am glad we spent a couple of nights in San Jose first

I agree with Counte Dante. You would be better off spending the weekend in Jaco and the weekdays in SJO. Weekdays in Jaco can be very slow, but the DR always has something available. You can also barter lower prices when the DR is not jam packed with rich gringos who continuosly toss one hundred dollar bills to the chicas. Personally, I would stay in San Jose the entire time. There is not much difference between weekdays and weekends, any day of the week you can find the right deal if you look. Sunday is really the only day I would say things are slower and not as active. Mucho Gusto has it correct, go to San Jose first and then decide on the rest of your trip from there.. Plans in Costa Rica can and will change quickly. Easier to make adjustments from San Jose.

For me, I prefer weekdays because I'm not actually staying in a hotel anywhere (I live here), but I usually need to find a short-time place which on weekends is VERY hard to find.

What's more, everything in town seems to be more expensive on weekends, and there's a lot more to watch out for.

I have never felt the threat of having alot of guys around. So many of them look down right frightened by the whole thing, and they just eat, drink, gamble and go.If you have some skills as a monger and the ticas think you are a serious consumer and not just window shopping like so many, you will have your pick at reasonable prices. I will only go to CR on the weekends anymore. I like having the highest volume of options available.Plus the weekend ticas working for a little extra cash are my favorites.
