Are DvD's available to purchase around the Del Rey? I am referring to regular DvD's of movies to watch on my laptop during periods of recupperation. I've heard they can be bought on the street for $2.00 but that source was and is unreliable. Thanks! |

I have not seen DVD's for sale on the street but I really don't pay too much attention to what those guys are selling. |

It's because they are illegal here. I know, I know, alot of things for sale are illegal here, but they're hard-up here for bootleg DVDs. No clue why. Priorities, I guess ![]() |

Don't do it myself as I have found the quality to be lacking, but any Flea Market..One is east of downtown on Avenida 11 (do not know exact location) and Sabana Park has a weekend outdoor market and you can usually find them in droves... |

There are a lot of people selling DVDs on the streets here especially on Ave. Central. Do not know about the quality of all, but one guy I know has a complete computor setup and burns the DVDs he sells. They are of very good quality. Do not know where to tell you to find him or his sister; they move around the central area. |

I walked to a CD/DVD shop with a CRT guy once, he had bought some movies and wanted to exchange one. We went SW from the Pres. across Parque Central and it was on the SW corner of the park. I noticed it was right next door to "Park Hotel" but don't know if it was the legendary one or not since I never went to a show there... |

Thanks! I have seen them in many of the "flea market malls" around SJ, but there are about 10 in a row going on the streets in the area around mercado central where there are all the street vendors. |
