Tell me guys,

When I walk into the BM for the 1st time at 7PM 2 Jan, and sit at a table or the bar, is the routine there more likely that I will be left alone for awhile to scope things out over a beer, or that I will have to deal with "new friends approaching me from the gitgo, telling me what a nice person I seem to be?

I am hoping for the lformer, but have a feeling that the latter may be the case. Don't get me wrong, I do like girls, but am more comfortable with them when I am in the "agressor" role.

Also, if you are approached by someone who doesn't strike your fancy, are you considered a boor for not buying her a drink, or should you just smile and nod "no"

I know there is 1 no totally correect answer for every situation, but I am curious as to what you vets have learned through experience.

Del Rey etiquette: if approached by someone who does not interest you a polite but firm " no company thank you " would be an appropriate answer and one that I find works well. As far as buying them a drink not expected not even by a girl you're interested in. If you ask her to sit with you to go through an interview process the offer of a drink would not be inappropriate.

I will be checking in to the Del Rey about 3:30 p.m. on the 3rd. Would be happy to make your acquaintance.

If you have the opportunity to hang with Lee, I highly recommend it. He spent some tudor time with me on my first trip and it was invaluable. He will watch your back and he even might let you buy him a drink.

IMHO, if you sit and don't want company, do not make eye contact. It's worse than being in a strip club in the US. Eye contact is like a magnet to these women, she will be sitting beside you in a minute.

Come by the SL first, and if I'm not busy with a rental for the moment, we'll head over there.

See you next week.

Health & happiness to all...

In my experience, you almost never want a chica that's overly agressive. That's usually a sure sign she'll be a clock watcher, and probably know all the tricks to get out as fast as she can (without blowing the sale).

I'm still struggling a little myself to find a way to say "no thank you" firmly, but not drive away others who might be watching. I find that if you reject 5 or 6 girls in a short time, they start leaving you alone (which may be just what you want).

"No Quiero Compania ahorra" should work (that's com-pahn-ya).

The girls should all be fresh, back from a few weeks away from work, so it should be interesting to see the new year.

There are going to be times on your first trip that certain chicas are going to try to corner you and grab you. You'll get better at brushing them off as you get a feel for the game.Take your time and approach the the type of chica that your looking for. When you do find the one that your looking for identify if there is any chemistry between you and take it from there. If you can hook up with one of the guys that have offered their help here you'll be way ahead of the game .(you don't want to look like a deer staring at headlights)Good luck!

Just take it in and enjoy it. Let the women come up to you and treat you like a piece of meat. It's a nice experience, especially when you first arrive. Of course you don't need to act like that all the time, but it's a very nice introduction.

I recommend that you drop Prostoner a PM, since Lee won't be available until the 3rd. He has been great at showing new guys the ropes.
