Post subject:  Money

Good afternoon,
I've used the search feature to attempt to find the answer to my question without results. I would like to send a small monetary Christmas gift to one of the Tica's I met on my last trip. Is it correct that there is no Western Union service in San Jose? If one would be inclined to send such a gift how would you send it?
Thanks
Bobshere

There is Western Union in CR. I'm shocked she hasn't sent you her number yet.

While I do not recommend it, or sending any money, there is Western Union. There are at least 30 locations for it in San Jose. Make sure you have the name on her id. Full name. Including middle and mothers maiden name, if applicable. Example. My ex girlfriend in Tijuana's full name was Alma Angelina Coronado Ortega. Alma Ortega would not be acceptable. She would not be able to get the money, although the name is correct. Got it? Good luck.

He called it a gift Paco. It was not a RFM. Spend less time surfing gay porn sites and more time reading posts. :P

If we call it a gift it is not an RFM

All you guys who have been chastised in the past for responding to RFM's can now lift your head up high and say it was a gift.

Not disagreeing with your post Spanky just having some fun with the topic.

If he sends it on his own, and it wasn't asked for, then it's not an RFM since there no R (request). Some of you guys are no hung up on that acronym that you forgot what it means.

If there isn't, I want to franchise one. I'll make millions from CRT'ers alone.

Bobshere:

My apologies for the ramblings of my well intended friends. I do not know your situation but am happy to give you the benefit of the doubt. Primarily due to the fact you are probably the one initiating the giftgiving. If it had been a run of the mill request for money by an experienced lady she would have definitely included detailed instructions on how to get the money to her. It is the Christmas season and giving is what it's all about. There is Western Union service in Costa Rica. Another available way is to wire money to one of the many Wal-Mart locations in San Jose now. If your friend has a bank account a simple bank transfer could be arranged between your bank and hers.

Now if this was a request for money and you were disguising it as mere Christmas generosity in order to find a way to send the money shame on you. If that is the case referrer to everything that was said above and do not send money. This may sound holier than thou but as Orange said we could get rich on a simple 2% commission with a Western Union franchise. There is that much money moving south.

Western Union is alive and well in Costa Rica...

You could probably still open up a WU franchise and make money Orange...

I'm sure that there'll be more need in the years to come.

BTW, to those of you that MIGHT remember that I received a RFM several months ago... just thought I would let you know that it was, indeed, the one and only, and it has more than paid for itself...

Although I did recently send a Christmas bonus through Western Union, and no it had no R in it...
