Hey folks, my Spanish is fairly decent, but it doesn't pick up on colloquialisms. I've been talking to a chica for a while, and she often says "No veo la hora de estar contigo." Literally, it means "I don't/can't see the time to be with you." But she seems to say it endearingly, so I'm guessing it means "I can't wait to see you and be with you" or something. Any help out there please? I'm tired of seeing this all the time and not knowing what she's really saying. Thanks guys! |

I BELIEVE she's saying something to the effect of: "time flies when I'm with you" as in you don't bore her, and she loves being with you so an hour feels like 2 min... |

Any help out there please? I'm tired of seeing this all the time and not knowing what she's really saying. Thanks guys! You got the right idea HTP. Someone who really cares about you would tell you something like that, but if you just saw her on your last day there, that's just something to soften your heart before the RFM comes in, specially if she's a provider. The best preventive measure against providers BS is not to leave any contact information behind. |

I scoured Google while at work today and found that it might mean "I can't wait to be with you." Which would make sense. Can anyone confirm? ![]() |

![]() HTP, did you miss the message above yours? Yes, that's what she's trying to imply. It seems that you did great in such a short time. Give her a week and she might even work three jobs just to support you. You're a lucky one! ![]() |

Yeah really, she hasn't asked for money once, and we've talked for a few months. I know the reality, but she is a nice girl. Thanks for the input guys, serious or not. |
