I guess it depends on what you mean by "easily". You're going to have to work your game, but it's not difficult to find girls willing to go home with you, especially if they're quite drunk. Unlike in the states, the girls down here pretty much accept responsibility for what they do when drunk (ie, they don't blame the guy for sleeping with them). |

Working girls also frequent these establishments to party, when they are not working. On my last trip my favorita from the Del Rey took me to the Ebony 56 Grill, with some of her friends. I was the only gringo in the club. A gringo trying to pick up girls would stick out like a sore thumb. A working girl may very well see this as an opportunity to make some easy money. I fell within the same age range as the majority of the ticas in the club and I didn’t notice any promising looks. However, I noticed some uncomfortable looks from the ticos, even my favoritas tico friend. I just tried to blend in: if that is even possible sticking close to my group. Unless you speak fluent Spanish I wouldn’t imagine you would have much of a chance. However, the club was awesome and it was a great way to experience Costa Rican culture. |

Friends is one of my favorite bars in Costa Rica... Mostly just from the fond memories and awesome staff. There are pros, non-pros, and off-duty pros there, plenty of good looking ones. No, it's not that "nice" of a bar, more of a local drinking hole. I've probably pulled more ass out of that one bar than anywhere else in CR. |
