I was sessioning at a certain place and towards the end of the session, the girl asked for something. I couldn't understand it at the time. In an little yellow envelope it read "Por favor, celebrate con me aguinaldo" At the time I couldn't understand this, please, celebrate with me ____. I told her no comprende "Aguinaldo" She pointed to the yellow envelope and said para mi familia. For her family. Later, I thought that she wanted a tip. I thought that this was a really horrible way to ask for a tip. I was going to tip her 10 dollars anyway. Now I got home and realized what she was saying, Please, celebrate with me christmas. Christmas??? It's October 31st and she wanted me to celebrate christmas with her by giving her money? And she asked me to put money in a little yellow envelope. What the heck? I gave her a 10 tip anyway, but it was just a little too much for me.

Are you jerking our chain? You post asking what rico means right after you correctly post that "aguinaldo para mi familia" means christmas gift for my family. Something does not add up. Aguinaldo is certainly a term much less familiar to mongers than rico.

No, I'm not jerking your chain. This was asked by another girl. I didn't think what she did was right. At the time, I thought she was asking me to celebrate something and then she pointed inside the envelope and said dinero. I said I didn't understand. This is a bad way of asking for a tip. I wasn't asking you guys what Aguinaldo means, because I already looked it up. I'm just telling a story about an experience I had and how one girl asked me for a tip.

It's just another way of asking for a tip. She could have genuinely been asking for the money for Christmas gifts for her bebes and family. After all, that time of year is approaching fast and I'm sure the chicas are thinking of it. I've had a chica or two call me in the U.S. around this time of year, basically wanting to know when "Santa Claus" [me] was returning to CR.....most likely for help buying gifts for her bebes.
