Post subject:  How to Piss Off Most of your Fellow CRT'ers
I am not the Admin, I'm just a lifetime VIP member of this site.

Recently, several new members have posted badly, flamed, taken advantage of Admin's "freedom of speech" policy.

If you don't want CRT friends, if the idea of a brotherhood of mongers means nothing to you, if this is just another "whore board," and if you want to piss off guys with more experience, contacts and class... here's how to do it. Show your disrespect for this Forum and its other members by doing the following:

* Throw out personal attacks or flames. This will make others want to ignore everything else you write.

* Inject off-topic discussions and personal exchanges lasting more than two posts into an existing thread. Want to see an example? Go to the Sexual Health, Security and Scams section and read the topic titled "Diseases." This serious topic was hijacked completely and quickly developed into a flame war. This will piss off your fellow CRT'ers who are trying to find information about a certain topic.

* Post just to get a rise out of the other participants. This is called "trolling," and is a great way to make enemies and influence people not to answer your more serious posts.


Go back to the main page. See, it's called "A Gentleman's Guide to Costa Rica."

If you really want to estrange yourself from other CRT guys, act like less of a gentleman. Simple.

Obviously some have read it, memorized it and have put it into practice.

Sadly, not all the offenders are newbies. Most are, which is why I posted this topic in the Newbies section.
