A SJO vet from 15+ years ago, my travels have taken me to many a stop accross the world.
Europe, SE Asia, PI, Australia, and copias amount of time in the DR... Now working my way back to SJO.

Might be a silly ? to you SJO vets, but again, I am a Newbie in this market.

What is the "skinny" on cost of "entertainment" these days in the SJO market?
HDR? SL? Etc. Etc.

I think you will find that much of what you experienced 15 years ago is still there.
The faces may have changed but it's the same faces
I had taken a 5 years break from CR and travelled all over latin america and brazil. When I returned to CR it took about 2 hours to get back into it, and I didnt miss a beat. Prices may bit a little higher since you've been here last, but business is slow and deals can be had
