It's safe by day and actually a lot of fun because it's in the heart of San Jose right at a corner on the Central Avenue pedestrian walk. I often stay my first night or two there. I like it but not for the price but not a nice place to bring chicas to.

Not a nice place to bring chicas to because...?

In another thread I read this hotel had a low chica fee with no limit on how many at once.

Oh yeah, but you won't impress them in the least. They are not nice rooms. They are adequate but not nice. I know chances are I won't take a girl from HDR my first night or two so I'm happy to stay there. Any chica would go with you to the NJ but you just won't blow them away with accommodations.

Are you trying to impress putas? I bet that HNJ has better accomodation than most of them have at home. As long as you pay them good, they don't care where you take them.

What kind of in room safe does HNJ have? Electronic?

Do they just have lockers? where are the lockers located?

I need a cheap hotel my first night in, because my plane arrives at midnight. So I figure stay here till early morning. While staying here I will pull a DR chick, take her here and post her thoughts on the room

As far as I know they dont have safes. I believe it was written you are permitted to leave excess money and any valuables in a safe a the front desk.

Electronic safes in the room? Uh, no. Just hope nobody takes a pair of scissors to the paper walls and breaks in from next door. It's not a bad place if you're a sound sleeper and don't mind your next door neighbor hearing you fart.

Problems are, I arrive to SJO at midnight, then probably wont get to a hotel till around 1am. I think a low budget hotel would be the way togo till the next day then check in the SL.

I will probably check into Hotel Castillo the first hours there, then wake up and go to SL.

Does Hotel Doral have safes in the rooms?

Sorry, have not been back to this thread til now. Yeah, I don't believe it's a good idea to have a really nice room to take your girls back to as in they'll stay longer or provide better service, etc. All I said was you will not impress them but that they are adequate, not nice. That is true.

Doral is a slight step up from NJ but slightly deeper into the city and more expensive. Better idea to spend a $40(CRT discount cash) night at Castillo than Doral if you aren't going to stay at NJ. I remember Doral being in the $25 range, maybe more, not sure.

FWIW, one thing I take is a thin piece of chain I buy off the rolls at HD/Lowes and a small combination lock or two and lock my stuff to a chair or whatever. Hell, I do that in Germany and the chances of anyone stealing there is slim. I just do it out of habit. Anyway, if your stuff is at NJ locked down and you put your passport and CCs in their safe if you don't trust them in your suitcase, you're golden.

Nice Idea Ticafan, but I prefer a room with a safe. Im planning to stay at Castillo that night, then walk up the hill to SL around Noon the next day.
