What is the tica action around these areas. Are there any massage parlors like in San Jose?

I've never been to Quepos.

In Jaco there are several options: daytime- in bars along the beach, nightime- Beatle Bar, Monkey Bar, and Nacho Daddys.

Keep in mind that prices in Jaco are higher than SJ, especially at the Beatle Bar, because of the high number of rich gringos/fishermen who stay at Marriott Los Sueños Resort. The chicas know this. If they can blow $350+/night for a room, paying $100 or 150 for an hour is no biggie to these guys. They are ruining it for the average Joe who wants to go to BB and grab somebody hot for $70-80. The quality of the chicas at BB is also way down these days. Last week, I was there and there were very few hot chicks. I'm sure there are good deals to be had occasionally, but everybody who's been to Jaco recently will agree that prices have risen and the chicas aren't willing to budge on price.

I'd forget Jaco. Besides the higher prices and lower selection, the humidity in Jaco is really bad. If you like to sweat A LOT, you will love Jaco. If you just want to get away to the beach, I'd recommend Flamingo or Tamarindo, but you have to bring a chica from SJ with you as there is NOTHING reasonable available there (Flamingo). There are chicas but they are old, fat, and very expensive.

Quepos has some limted action in and around the Best Western Casino. Try Wacky Wanda's bar in the evening right across the street from the casino. There's also another place late at night on the left hand side of the road before you cross the bridge that enters town. Limited quality, but around in small numbers.

Dalvy, Funny you mentioned the place by the bridge. Last time we werre there my partner and I was looking at a couple of fine looking gals we just didn't have the nerve to approach them and they didn't approach us. So we stared and gawked and they smiled and laughed.

Damn the luck. I'll probably get my face slapped this time.

Spiritlabs: While Jaco may not be for everyone for the reasons Orange mentioned, I think everyone should go there at least once to see for themselves. I'll be there in about 3 weeks and don't look forward to the humidity but you can sweat out the beer and booze fast that way. We rent scooters and ride around town hitting the bars and beach in the afternoon. We don't look too gay on the scooters I hope. We find some action in the day that way and at our pool at the Copa. The humidity almost seems worse at night when in the Beatle Bar which has no a/c. But go see for yourself. Wile Coyote
