Hello all... I searched all over and couldn't find the answer to this...when a tica say's cien..does she mean us dollars or colones? Also, I am planning my first trip to CR and plan to spend a lot of time at ZB. Can someone give me a quick rundown of the deal there.. Do i pay the Tica or a receptionist..also whats the deal with the rooms are they private..clean?? Thanks.. I am sure these questions have been asked, there is just so much info it would take forever to find the answers.. |

Welcome to the greatest group of guys in the world Markrli. You've chosen wisely in grabbing a membership right away. It will open more doors and save you more money than you can believe. My advice to you is to immediately ignore all the ribbing you're going to get with your dollar vs colone question. When the chicas speak of "cien" they mean $100 good old fashioned US Dollars. With a little over 500 colones to the US dollar right now, 100 colones would be about 20 cents. Now you could probably get laid for that in San Jose, but you would have to be into necrophilia as a hobby. Others will tell you that would be a reasonable price in Morozan Park. The ladies in Morozan Park are not ladies at all, but have some additional equipment which rather spoils the whole night's entertainment. Read, read, read everything you can on this board. Use the search engine to key in on specific questions, and then if you can't find an answer, post it here and at least 50% of the answers will be helpful. CRT has an excellent reputation for being the best source of information anywhere and at least one or two guys here are going to be able to answer any question you have. Back to the "cien" question. The current trend for the service workers in Costa Rica is to ask for cien or even more. We recommend that you negotiate for a better price. If you pay the asking price, the service is not going to be any better than if you paid $50, and negotiation is part of the pleasure of closing the deal. Remember our motto here at camp: If she's a 10, she'll want at least cien; if she's a seven, you'll still be in heaven (and saved $30 too) Good luck and welcome amigo El Lamero |

Markrli, Yes, when they say cien......they are referring to $100.00, however, with a little negotiation, you can you usually get that down to the $50.00 to $70.00 range. Discuss all services with the chica beforehand and tell her you don't pay upfront. As for Zona Blue, yes, you pay the chica upon entering the room. The rooms are clean and neat and there is a shower in the room. The rooms are private. Upon entering Zona Blue, you will walk straight ahead to the bar area where a number of chicas will be sitting around talking. At this point, you may choose to get a beer and chat up the chicas to decide which one you would like, you then will go to the private room. The price is preset, however, you may wish to tip the chica at the end for exceptional service. Eddie, the owner, is an excellent host. The drinks at the bar are a little pricey. Have fun, Zebra |

Thanks for the timely responses... No cien is a term I intend to use librally when needed...(the negotiation is half the fun..ok maybe not half but.....) Thanks to Osgood for helping me with my math.... the confusion came from all the posts I read that say you should pay with colones...so I guess they expect somewhere around 50000 colones... I couldn't get a room at one location for the entire stretch so I am staying at the presidente from march 27th to the 29th then I'm headed to the SL until april 3rd. ZB sounds like a pimped out version of some of the latin quickie houses here in NY...I think i'll feel right at home. |

vets like VB can point out perfectly nice and pleasant chicas all day long that are more reasonable than the cien chicas.... some guys don't mind paying top dollar once in awhile....I'm just pointing out that there are tons and tons and tons (did I mention tons?) of attractive little darlings willing to spend some time with you for far less than a cien anyway, have fun....I figure you know what you're in for....hahahaha...and looking forward too it |

By the way, speaking of cien. You can (and probably will) get your first "ménage le quatro" at SL for a little over cien. Most of the SL chicas are as hot as at DR and KL. What SL lacks in numbers is made up in quality. Véale en una semana.

Stinky Stinky, With all due respect and keeping in mind I am a total "newbie" (here), I was at SL last weekend (forget which day) with 2 monger friends during happy hour (roughly 6-7:30 or so). There were no more than 6 ladies around and not one of them compared (IMHO) to the middle of the pack at the Del Rey, where, as you certainly know, during the same hours, there are probably at least 50 ladies and maybe a quarter of them are at least "8+" in almost anybody's "book". Maybe just an "off night" ?

Spock, Off night for sure. I have seen those nights there as well. However, when Bill calls in what he calls his "top shelf chicas", it is as good as anything at BM, & KL (IMHO of course). The good news is - off nights like that only take about a $2 cab ride to fix! Stinky
