Tica is a Costa Rican female. Chica is a female and Pica....  got me stumped on that one. If you meant Nica that is a Nicaraguan either male or female.

As stated: Chica = "Chick," as in U.S. slang for a young woman. Tica = costa Rican woman of any age Pica = Panamanian woman, but I've never heard anyone say it in real life. Nica = Man or woman from Nicaragua Dominicana or simply "domi," woman from the Dominican Republic Gringa = Spawn of Satan and the curse of male North Americans Hope that helped. |

Cal Eagle, I hope you read my Top Twenty Tips somewhere in this section and What to Bring to Costa Rica in the same. It is a do it yourself manual. I plan to expand and post them again with more breakdown and detail and footnotes if needed. Both need more flair and organization to be interesting. Have fun and be safe. Ace. |

I must also suggest that you read Ace's lists of newbie suggestions and what to pack/bring to C.R. His list was absolutely invaluable to me when I made my first trip, and I still refer to it when making travel plans. Ace, if I never thanked you before now... Thanks very, very much. Your two lists, along with RBC100's bar/massage parlor list, Costa K*D's links guide and King Costa's tips on interviewing the girls prior to hiring them are incredible resources. I wonder how much it would cost to have them all made into bronze plaques?

Think you grasping at straws amigo. If not please bring some of those smokes with you on your next trip to paradise.  Have never heard any Panamanian referred to as a Pica.

Where did I hear the term "pica" in reference to a Panamanian woman. From a Panamanian woman... but she might have been pulling my other leg.
I know that "pica" means "itch." It also means prick.
