Well, who the hell is Pop's?
Just kidding, I remember starting this thread, just to laud Pop's for his excellent tour, and this has morphed into a monster, much like Frankenstein. Just let's get back to helping each other enjoy the panocha, and stop the bulls**t. Bunch of old squabbling hens.

Amen. Them squabbling hens hate it when the little red rooster steps into the barnyard!

click here to hear the song

I am the little red rooster, too lazy to crow for day
I am the little red rooster, too lazy to crow for day
Keep everything in the barnyard, upset in every way

Oh the dogs begin to bark, and the hound begin to howl
Oh the dogs begin to bark, hound begin to howl
Ooh watch out strange kind people, cause little red rooster is on the prowl

If you see the little red rooster, please drag him home
If you see the little red rooster, please drag him home
There ain't no peace in the barnyard, since the little red rooster been gone

(apologies to Willie Dixon and Chester Burnett)

No apologies necessary to Chester Burnett or Mr. Bluesman, Willie Dixon, Brother Steven1. You're a soul man to the bone. No joke. And Brother Zunbake3 is right there with you.

while we are at it...how about Red House.Jimi Hendrix

There's a red house over yonder, that's where my baby stays.
There's a red house over yonder, baby, that's where my baby stays.
Well, I ain't been home to see my baby in about ninety nine and one half days,
'bout time I see her.

Wait a minute, something's wrong.
The key wont unlock the door.
Wait a minute, something's wrong, baby.
The key wont unlock the door.
I got a bad, bad feeling that my baby don't live here no more.

I might as well go on back down,
Go back 'cross yonder over the hill.
I might as well go back over yonder
Way back yonder 'cross the hill, (That's where I come from)
'Cos if my baby don't love me no more.
I know her sister will!

Now all we need to do is re-write the House of the Rising Son for SJO instead of New Orleans!

Hey, I took a crack at that a couple of days ago on a different thread.

The words fit the music better using "Hotel Zona Blue" so I went with that even though it's now called Hotel Little Havana.

Kickstand wrote:
The House of the Zona Blue

There is a house in San Jose
They called the Zona Blue
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God it got me too

My first time wasn't a failure
With Karen, Laura and Pam
We phucked all night til I was cured
And now I feel like a man

Now the only thing a monger needs
Is some condoms in his case
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when he's on the chase

------ organ solo ------

Oh mothers tell your Ch*ldren
Not to do what I would do
Spend your lives in sin and misery
In the Hotel Zona Blue

Well, I got one foot on the jet bridge
The other foot on the plane
I'm goin' back to San Jose
To wear that ball and chain

Well, there is a house in San Jose
They called the Zona Blue
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy
And God it got me too

Woo Hoo! Thanks Pop's Tour for sponsoring this hijack into Bluesland!

Click me to listen!
Had a pretty little girl, I lose my baby, boy ain't that bad
Had a pretty little girl, I lose my baby, boy ain't that bad
You can't spend what you ain't got,
you can't lose some little girl you ain't never had

Had money in the bank, I got busted, people ain't that bad
Had money in the bank, I got busted, people ain't that bad
You can't spend what you ain't got,
you can't lose some little girl you ain't never had

Ain't that the truth boys

Had a sweet little home, it got burned down, people ain't that bad
My own fault, people ain't that bad
Well you know you can't spend what you ain't got,
you can't lose some blues you ain't never had

Have mercy!

Sweet little home, got burned down, people ain't that bad
Yeah you know I had a sweet little home, it got burned down, people ain't that bad
Whoa you know you can't spend what you ain't got,
you can't lose some little girl you ain't never had

But....we can't always have the blues can me? I dunno....that's one I'm gonna have to fiddle with on my "Reasons" mini blog over in smack talk. I think Mr. Morganfield wrote this one for all of us:

Click me to sing along!
Yeah bring me champagne when I'm thirsty.
Bring me reefer when I want to get high.
Yeah bring me champagne when I'm thirsty.
Bring me reefer when I want to get high.
Well you know when I'm lonely
Bring my woman set her right down here by my side.
Well you know there should be no law
on people that want to smoke a little dope.
Well you know there should be no law
on people that want to smoke a little dope.
Well you know it's good for your head
And it relax your body don't you know.

Everytime I get high
I lay my head down on my baby's breast.
Well you know I lay down be quiet
Tryin' to take my rest.
Well you know she done hug and kiss me
Says Muddy your one man that I love the best.

I'm gonna get high
Gonna get high just as sure as you know my name.
Y'know I'm gonna get so high this morning
It's going to be a cryin' shame.
Well you know I'm gonna stick with my reefer
Ain't gonna be messin' round with no cocaine.
