And regardless of the fact that most(?) Americans here would like to see the hobby legalized and in no way feel "shame" in participating, right now, in America, "whore" is a pejorative. Whether it's "Western propaganda" or not is mostly irrelevant. It is what it is.

Still, Srlim, you gotta admit, the bible aside, most would consider the word "whore" a pejorative. You could be correct in what you posted, but does not change the fact most (I better be careful here - don't want to piss off ID by throwing out a percentage I can't quantify ) think its a nasty term.

Many blacks use the "N" word speaking between each each other and to describe other African Americans, but if you or I did the connotation would be considered rasist, and a "bad" word - I never use the word, more so b/c I was once told that word was often the last a black person would hear before he was killed or maimed in the pre civil rights era - boy, did this post get heavy

(Mary Magdaline too for that matter, although the bible is a little "fuzzy" on her real profession; I've heard/read everything from prostitute to Jesus' wife - personally, I could care less; I'll leave the debate to those scholars who want to debate how many angles can dance on the head of a pin......)
