Oh, the sex is very real....not the fantasy image portrayed in Hollywood movies, just the raw, carnal, commercial variety, but certainly real.

Now, PR is absolutely right on point in his description of the socioeconomic and cultural realities of the vast majority of the chicas, as well as their motivations and survival instincts.

It is very useful to always understand these facts and keep them in mind when enjoying our hobby. We all learn this at our own pace

Amazement just half covers how I feel after a crazy Saturday night here. I fully realize that the most attractive thing about myself is my wallet. Our hobby allows us to select beauty and youth to provide us with company. That many of them can approach this job and not display bitter, angry attitudes also amazes me. We are lucky. Lucky to have been born in a country where opportunity was available to us. Lucky to have realized this and taken advantage of it. For some of us it was easier but we all earned what we have in our own way. It is not that easy everywhere and there is a lot of anger and resentment because of this.

I am regularly approached on the streets here by people in need. I don't give to most of them but often do to some. It is hard not to give to destitute elderly people, the blind, and women with Ch*ldren. It costs me next to nothing. I give because I know how lucky I have been in life. I give because I would not want to trade places with them. I give because I know how hard my mother worked to provide for me. I give because I know what it was like not to have things as a Ch*ld. At times it is hard not to respond when women ask for cien. More often than not they are playing us. Still you never know when what you give actually could make a difference in the life of another.

I was poor when I was a K*D. I knew it to some extent but not like I understand it now. My mother struggled to provide for me. She too came from a poor but hard working family. I don't know how she got the money to pay for my clothes or food. Somehow she managed. It wasn't important to me what she did with whom. There were occasional men in her life. If one of them paid a bill or bought groceries, all I can say is thanks. I know she never got rich in life. I know she had a few fun times but for the most part her life was spent within a few miles of where she was born. When I was old enough I worked to earn the money to pay for my own things. I have been blessed. So are all of you. It probably hasn't come easy for you. It didn't for me.

What these girls do isn't easy. It comes with costs. Don't presume that they like the life they live. They do it to survive the same as we do what we do to survive. To some, lying to us or thinking of us as easy marks is just what they do to survive. They don't like or respect us but do a good job of concealing it. I have been blessed with knowing hundreds of women here who could have played me and never did. They are not bitter about their lives. They cheerfully go about their lives, are fun to be around and don't seem to mind what they have to do. It gives them opportunities to live outside their town or neighborhood, to see things from a side their friends and families never have or will experience. Their sister may get to clean a room at the Cocal. She gets to sleep in the bed and eat at the restaurant. I salute all of them.

Give when you can. Give when you feel like it. It's your money. Try not to be stupid. Don't expect others to appreciate what you do. I think all of us have experienced disappointment in trying to help people who didn't demonstrate that they appreciated our efforts (think family). Understand that it may make you feel stupid at times but you don't always see the big picture. In the end when I give it is not for them, it is for me. It makes me feel that I have contributed a little to make this world a better place.

Brofessor can be a dick. He thinks he is an expert on Colombia. He is always coming down on mongers. When that older guy from New Jersey got shot in Poblado last fall, he said he had it coming.

The RFM in my view is little more than a chica doing her job. If there was a written description, "Regularly sends RFM to gringo contacts" would be in the assigned responsibilities section.

I equate it to telemarketing back in the days when those calls were hard to block. If I were to stay on the phone that salesperson is going to say whatever it takes to get me to part with my money.

I equate RFMs to a salemen's follow-up calls with a client. Not that chicas are doing a 'quality service' check. But they are hitting the WhatsApp and maybe sending at the same message to 100 guys. Hey, if 5 bite, they've paid the rent.

And the game goes on....

So wait...these girls don't really love us? Next thing you'll tell me is that they fake orgasms!

You guys talk as if you get them every day. I am on record as probably receiving 30 a year, and that is NADDA compared to how you are describing these chicas. If the reality was as you describe with them 'schooled' to automatically send them out, then I should be well into 100 a year, or more. I tend to keep contact with many chicas that I come across.

If I had to put a count on the number of chicas I have maintained a Whatsapp contact with who rfm'ed me at least once, it would probably be 15% (which is a huge number in reality - again! I am a sucker!). So unless you have a worse average, don't assume that every chica in the game is just waiting to rfm you to death.

Now, that said, every one of them wants to know when I am coming back (to spend money on them). And several try for the wife-up scenario, with some even offering to 'plan' an entire vacation together. I'm not stupid. I know they want ALL the money for themselves. But it is in stark contrast to how many have the audacity to ask me to send them money.

And, once again, most chicas peg me for a sucker. I'd expect the begger's count to be higher with the ones I choose to connect with. It just doesn't seem to be that way.

BD ... not high volume here. Single digit percentages. It's just so audacious at times that it stands out.

Interestingly, the ones I want to like and respect... bam RFM! And the one's I'm expecting it from don't seem to ask. Then I remember I'm dealing with women so trying to figure it out is futile.
