Orange is right about the nastiness of some strip clubs. He obviously hasn't been to Alcazar. Alcazar has rooms with sheets changed after each customer and hot showers in the room. The lighting is adjustable. There are mirrors on the ceilings and walls. The strip club experience is completely different than the Del Rey, Sportsman's or Taormina experience. It is different from the mp experience. Each has their place. Unlike the states, girls do not get tips at the strip clubs here for dancing as a norm. They make their money from the customers buying them drinks or taking them to the rooms. Buy one of them a drink and you normally get a lap dance. During the lap dance it is permissible to play with their tits and ass. A buddy of mine played like Bill Clinton with one that was dancing in my lap getting his cigar lubricated. I have taken a pocket sized vibrator along for entertainment. This type of behavior is not something that you normally see at hotels or mps. It is illegal at strip clubs in the states. It would get you thrown out of the strip clubs in the states. I consider this foreplay. With drink prices in the hotels being $5 plus, a lap dance for $12 isn't that bad a deal. Then it comes down to the girls. You have to sort through a lot of women at mps, the Del Rey or Sportsman's to find anything in the class of the ones that were at Alcazar last Friday night. I like other things about Alcazar. The lighting is good so that you can really see what they look like. There is normally a good ratio of women to customers. You can nurse the drinks and wait for anything you like to free up. The majority of the girls are young Nicas. It is something different to do. Something you could do in the states if you are willing to drop a couple grand. I get to do it here and spend in the neighborhood of a hundred.

Yup. It's definately something to check out if you're not happy with the SL and HDR selection, and haven't booked your night yet. Alc is clean. J&N is decently clean. Pantera is decently clean. Le Gri is seedy. Arcadas is scary, but in a tingley, backroom-alley sort of way.

I don't know any other places personally. Can someone else please speak to the rest of the mix.

Oh, and I've never been to Lipstick, but I know one of the owners personally, and based upon what I know about him, I wouldn't step foot in there to save my life.

I have been to Alcazar only twice and the it wasn't anytime recently. Unless the made facility upgrades recently (which I heard that they may have), what I saw was no different than the other places. One thing that stood out for me was that the club was less dark than the other places so you could see the faces better. And the other thing was a bunch of gorditas running around.

Wow! Yeah, it has changed then. The place is in subdued red lighting. I have night-blindness but can see the dancers quite well, so the lighting is better than the other clubs IMHO. I can't even make out skin color in PR.

The dancers are typically a cross-section of desires at Alc. They always have a couple BBW chicas, as well as curvy, all the way down to flacas. However, it is possible when one shows up that their preferred body shapes are already taken by previous customers. I make it a habit to walk in and walk the entire circuit to see what chicas are just sitting around customer-less. If I see one that interests me, I call her over immediately to meet her. If you wait to see the stage rotation, you're almost guaranteed to miss the best in breed.

Also keep in mind that ALL chicas dance at Alcazar. They are on a list, and no matter if they're in someone's lap, when it's their turn at the pole, they have to go up and perform. This is nice in that you get to see all of the chicas, including the ones 'busy' when you entered.

A few months ago I posted photos of one girl from the Cocal and one from Alcazar. The one from Alcazar still works there. Friday night there was a Venezolana that rivaled the one from the Cocal in body and had a model's face. Not a gordita in the place. Not even close. As far as cleanliness, the session rooms are as good as the best you will find at any mp in San Jose.

100$ at alcazar will get you laid, a few beers and 2 lady drinks.

My last trip over Thanksgiving was first time in CR that I decided to visit stripclubs. Not that I got anything against them I was just not as informed as I am now.

I can vouch alcazar has both talent and they clean each room after each session. I was amazed when I seen the maid walking in after a session. I was like damn that's nice to know.

If you think about it though Stripclubs have some advantages over the Del Ray pickups.

1. You get the see the whole package upfront and not a busted can of biscuits when they get nude back in the room.

2. You know the prices, they are set. Ones i did was $65-68 for girl room and 30 mins, that was Alcazar and Panta Rosa. Del Ray usually $60-100 depending on time, girl, your negotiating skills. Typically it's $80-100 for me and being nice giving taxi or a tip for amazing service, plus I never go the full out some of it just wasted.

3. It's just as good a place as Del Ray to get #'s if you find a girl you are interested in. They won't buck to give out there # and have later business, and no house fees for doing it during there off time.

....Funny!!!! This has happened to me before. Wasn't too funny when it happened, but I can laugh about it now.

Anyone been to Fantasy? I think its like on the main street somewhere. It was 6000 entrance, which included 2 drinks. I notice mostly ticos were there and not so many foreigners, which was surprising for a high end strip club. Anyways, girl sits for $20 and includes a cup of champagne for the girl. There are private rooms out there also but not sure if you can score in there. I been there twice already and there are a lot of 8-9s there.

From experience I can relate that women here are experts at hiding flaws. Butchered surgeries, tattoos, piercings, breasts that sag like water filled condoms, the twenty extra pounds that fall out when the jeans and girdle come off are examples of what awaits when you unwrap the present. It is always nice to see one in a tank top, sports bra or just plain naked before making a decision. I guess I'm just shallow.

Not shallow, just real.

I've come to expect the Tica surprise. Sad really.
