yep Brother C is correct, local bands such as Marfil, local DJ's spinning at Vertigo, Reading up on the La Negrita walk to Cartago, making fun of the local soccer teams, the ticas really eat this up and it shows that one cares a bit more (outside the box) while admiring said box. Throw in some politics with the fancy girls and they will take a stand and chat all nite. For instance the El Avion in Manuel antonio was the sister ship to Oliver North's little operation and his buddy Eugene Hasenfus. 8)

I used to think I was God's gift to women...then discovered I was an atheist. And so it goes.

For dancing lessons, a school often mentioned here is Merecumbe (various locations), but there's doubtless others. And most language schools offer dancing classes after classroom hours, I believe. Might be a deciding factor in choosing one.

One way it seems to expand the Age range, without worrying about looks so much is to take salsa and or merengue (sp) lessons, but to do it with the locals. It is a great way to learn spanish, and an awesome ice breaker with just "Vamos Bailar" followed with the Coma se llama, leading up to "Te puedo invatar un trago" may I invite you for a drink. The chicas seemed to be impressed with the dancing, and it is a good way to see the sweat rivulets start running down their brown cleavage

Excellent point! I would amplify by saying, anything you can do to learn about and understand tica culture/Latina culture helps. Having more to talk about than whether or not she'll fellate you without a condom makes you more interesting. Learn a bit for instance about who the popular musicians are, what television shows are most watched (surprise, some of them will be American) et cetera.

As far as dancing goes:

I dance like old people screw. :( Worse yet, I screw like old people dance....

I think its never a bad thing if you can dance and have a good time with a chica. BUT, if you've got rhythm and can dance in general, chicas can dig that sort of dancing as well. It doesn't necessarily need to be "Spanish dancing"....

True on the rhythm, but huge points making the chicas laughing in their own language or sweatin' them out a bit in their own culture and game!

For the Nicas on that matter, San Juan Del Sur is pretty crakin' to go to. Easy cross and maybe 10 dollar taxi, good place for a quick 3 day passport stamp. Kind of like a more primitive Manuel Antonio, nice beach. Nicas love when you have been to their country, and some are interested in road trips back to the homeland. :D

unfortunately i think El C is right on most of his comments.Dont try to tuen the p4p into a relationship or marriage. If your going to be more than a one time visator you will form friendships with some girls weather you do or dont session with them. This is always agood thing. Treat them with respect and always act like a gentleman. While certain exceptions will always apply if your 45+ and the girls are 18-35 they generaly want to date someone in there own age bracket. The girls we know and love(for 1 or 1+hours at a time )fall in love with our money while a few of us fall in love with them.As was stated the story never has a happy ending. To all newbies go down enjoy yourself develop some regulars treat them good go back home and plan your next trip-dont fall in love or send money. Before any locals jump on me i understabd your chance at success is better.
