OK so then you have no professional or personal parenting qualifications or experience. However, I do now understand what **seems** to be a disapproval for anything other than the traditional relationship with regards to Ch*ldren. It sounds like you have seen a lot in your 40 years on the job. It also sounds like you see more of the darker side as well. Is this true? Just curious. Do you think it is possible that your job has jaded your perception? I am just throwing that out there.



I have no idea about the circumstances surrounding such a comment. I will not even begin to imagine what such a situation could be like. However, if a person is asking the question and the answer is unknown to them then perhaps there is more to the question. What I am trying to say is perhaps unless you have walked in their shoes then you are not a person that can understand their mistakes or even help. Maybe that is why there is such a negative response?



You might not be loosing any sleep. Perhaps you are just another government employee who is not passionate about his job and just takes the paycheck from the taxpayer and goes on their way. However, it does sound like that to me from at least the posts you have made lately, it seems that you are extremely passionate about these issues. You might not be loosing sleep but, my uneducated eye sees you releasing your disapproval in your writing and very personal attacks.



Agreed. However, I would not like to live in a country who decides who will breed and who will not. Therefore, what is the alternative?

It kind of reminds me of Germany. By the age of 12 (or thereabouts) they decide for life if you are university material or not. There are exceptions and ways around it as with anything but, that is the norm. When I was living there I just could not get by this idea and the fact that most Germans I talked with did not agree but just accepted it as the way it is.

Agree Admin1. PM’s are that, PERSONAL, between the two parties. The reason why we use PM is to keep it off the board. This is one offence that really will tick me off if someone did that to me.

Short, sweet and right to the point! It's so simple, but yet - it always amazes me how so many just don't get this! There's no rocket science here. Treat 'em nice, make 'em laugh and show them some respect. Pretty simple formula IMHO !

Thanks to El S and MG for getting the thread back on topic, and with what my own mongering experience shows to be good advice--acting like a gentleman does not mean being a patsy, and it generally encourages others to raise their games. Sure there will always be chicas for whom the price is the only consideration, just as there are mongers with the same attitude. I agree with a previous post--this attitude opens great opportunities for those who show some respect and appreciation. Of course YMMV, but this approach will normally improve the odds of better times in the cama.
