stay away from zona? i have been on the ground for over a week and zona two has by far the best lineup in the gulch? $40 for half hour is too much? it should be a crime paying some of the talent they have 40 bucks for half hour. just my 2 cents. for a newbie zona 2 is the perfect place to go and sample the local talent

Brooklynkid....no intention to turn this into a pissing match................

I do think $40.00 is high for a half hour considering that most places charge $$33.00 - $37.00 for a full hour. 18K and 20K. One I went to 4-5x last week was charging 15K the hour, so a duo was 30K compared to Zona's 33k for one. Zona's dollar cost translates into 33K the hour. Do the math.

Last 4 visits I never walked into Zona II and while I wish them luck, it's just not for me. I found I can't drink in a bar that has no windows. I do think, however, it is a comfort zone for the Gringos, and yes, I have to agree it might be good for a newbie.

Whitecat I can respect your views. And totally understand. But I feel zona 2 for a newbie is a great place. I have been on ground over a week and the talent there is way above del Rey right now.

You will have more fun during the day at SL and Zona, as well as some adventures at the pensions. You will get all the quality and action you can handle and with a little luck you will never have to cast a shadow at HDR. Cancel your room and book SL

Grasshopper.....Just be careful. You are the type of guy the girls are waiting for. My best advise is:

1. Stay away from the Dominicana bottom feeders
2. The more expensive the shoes and hairdo, the more she will want
3. Stay away from anyone who puts her hand on you
4. Never, but never spend $100.00 on a chick
5. Don't buy anyone a drink until you know you want to negotiate
6. Stay away from overpriced Zona II and New Fantasy
7. Try some of the pensiones 10 minutes from the Rey like Muses, Relax, Theo's

Enjoy

I think this is shitty advice for someone on a welfare budget. Zona II is far from overpriced imo. With the lineup they have and the quality of service any newbie should absolutely hit Zona and check it out for themselves.

Thanks again for the tips guys.

Which MPs are most friendly for English speakers?
Also how do they work in CR? Any entrance fee or anything? Do I just walk in and start chatting up the girls?

Zona 2's owner and bartender both speak English and most if not all the girls comprehend and speak little to passable English. Just walk in zona no fee cozy up to bar order a drink and the girls will all come up and introduce themselves to you

I've not been in a MP in SJ that charged an entrance fee. And yes you walk in and start chatting them up. In my experience you usually have to make the 1st move. Don't expect the 'mamasan' or operator to get them to line up for introductions.

Most MPs mentioned on this board will know enough english to get the transaction done.

The girls at Zona 2 will line up and introduce themselves when there aren't a lot of guys in the bar - though when it is busier they often don't.

That is true and on a tour I asked for and received a line up at Manos Magicos. At Relax they don't line up... but there's a chance you'll get mobbed after getting through the door.

Again hit Zona II bro. No fee to get in. The girls can communicate easily with you. When you walk in they will come and introduce themselves to you their name. Not that it matters but it's a nice little touch. Also like previously said the owner Jimmy is always there and he is an American so speaks English and so do the bartenders. They are really friendly.

So walk in sit at the bar, let all the chicks come up to you smiling, have a drink, and watch the ladies till you see the 1 you want.

You won't be disappointed

Ah - ha!

A cien denier in our midst!

I see you tried to sneak that in under #4 and hope not to get challenged!

Ignore him young man, he knows not what he sayeth...

I'm a proud established member of the cien club, and have been faithfully rewarded numerous times for my cien.

Besides, if this y o u t was prepared to blow $1,000 for a high class ho, what's a measley Ben Franklin???

That being said, the requirements for a cien deal are:

Must be 9 or 10, no silicon, excess tats, cigarette smoking, drugs or clock watching, minimum allocated time, 1.5 hours, preferably 2. Must bbbj, d a t y, gfe, dfk and any other request not to be discussed in polite company...

No never nein nyet payment "up front"!

Shower, brush teeth, pu*sy clean and sweet smelling.

Follow these instructions and your cien will be well spent.

Check out Monica's..

That's all I got, welcome to the monger lifestyle, be careful it's highly addicting...

I knew as soon as I saw his post announcing he was staying at HDR an HDR denier would attack this proud establishment of which I am known to be an admirer of.

I'm going to politely agree to disagree with you Nick for the sake of accurate info for this youngster. I still believe HDR is the best choice for a newbie, it's where the non stop action is, and even on it's slow days still much more selection than SL, and I've pulled dates from both establishments and like SL, especially the food. Since HDR is still the wildest craziest place in town, it blows the mind of newbies, and poon is generally available around the clock, l've picked up hottie's at 6:00 am!

Newbies then can check out the smaller boutique hotels like SL, Zona, LA Amistad, etc. to see if they might prefer a more subdued atmosphere next visit. Remember, this is a young K*D looking for excitement, and the meager selection, quiet atmosphere and grouchy complaining old ex pats might not be his cup of tea...
